I'm looking for any information regarding the family names of Szydlowski/Szydlowska; Wyzlanski/Wyzlanska; Wyzlenski/Wyzlenska.

These are my husband's great-grandparents. I know that my husband's grandfather was born in NY in 1892; his mother was Anna Wyzlanska Szydlowski & his father was Michael Szydlowski. I'm not sure if the spelling of Michael is correct or not.

Anna had brothers who came to NY, Antoni & Teophil. Teophil had 2 children Anna & Joseph. I knew Anna personally -- she was a wonderful person -- miss her much to this day. Teophil might have had a 3rd child who I believe was named Michael.

If you have any information please let me know.

Thanks!!!

Hi,

I too am searching for my mother's family of the surname of SZYDLOWSKI.

My mother was Maria Szydlowska (feminine form) born 29/12/1914 at Kovel, Poland.

Her parents were Wasyl and Anna Szydlowski (nee Saciuk).

She was the youngest of 8 children and was orphaned at the age of 8 years when her parents and several siblings died of typhoid fever.

Maria and the remaining children were taken by cart to other Szydlowski relatives in the area. However, as the surname was a common one at that time there, they were initially sent to the wrong people.

My mother married my father, Jan NATURALNY, in Poland in 1937, place unkown.

She moved to Warsaw where she lived and worked in a factory. She survived  the Warsaw Uprising..

She had brothers called Michael (Michal ?) and Grzegorz.(Gregory).

We would love to hear from you as there may be a connection. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest Regards,

Krystyna Legge (nee Naturalny.)
