We're going to spend 5 weeks in Mazatlan, and we've not been there before.  We're renting an apartment in the old town historic district.  We like spending time at the beach and sometimes we bring our own beach lounge type chairs.  We often go to Zihuatanejo and they have restaurants that allow you to use their beach lounge chairs if you buy drinks and eat at their place.   We're wondering if the same thing is true in Mazatlan.  Can anyone tell us if there are beaches where lounge type chairs are available?  If we don't need to bring our chairs, it would be one less thing to lug with us!  Thanks for your help!

Yes they will let you use chairs if you have drinks and food !  Lots of the hotels do that they want your business just go early.  They will even let you sit pool side if you have drinks and food.  Have fun.:D

Our apartment is in Centro Historico and it is very safe and a lovely apartment.  The name of the place is Villa Serena.  It is convenient to everything in Centro.  We are paying 5000 pesos plus utilities (water, gas, electric, and wifi).  It is about a 15 minute bus ride (the bus stop is at the corner) to the Golden Zone (Zona Dorada) where there are lots of hotels.  We find that we really like this area, though.  It's more reasonably priced and we are able to experience the Mexican culture more easily.  You will love it!  Hope this helps.
