Just like many others who was sent the same mail, I just feel that this letter is a complete SCAM!  First of all it is so good to be true and second of all, when sending out a professional letter from an official lotto corporation, wouldn't your letter look more legitimate then something printed from home?

When reading any letter from any Corporate companies I've always been observant about the quality of paper and presentation of a professional letterhead.  Due to the fact that I am a graphic designer and anyone with a knowledge of design would notice that the letter is designed in a poor state and the only thing legitimate would be the postage stamp from Spain.
  • First of all the ink on the letter actually smudges when gently rub your thumb across the text.  NOW we know it's not done on a laserjet printer but an inkjet.  The quality of the ink is so budget.  The graphics and coloured text on the letter was actually faded as if the ink had run out!
  • The logo and letterhead of the company does not look appealing.  It looks way too basic.
  • The seals at the bottom right of the page with the reference number looks as if it's been scanned and then copy and pasted to the letter, really isn't very much convincing.
  • The quality of the paper is lightweight, like a standard photocopier paper.  Majority of professional businesses would use a paper that is slightly heavier and textured.
So people don't be fooled by this spam about winnning so many hundred thousands and giving away your true identity.  There is too many fraudulents out there and majority of them are saying that they are a from an International Lotto Commission.  It's a pity that the elderly are the main targets for these kind of spams.

Hi i'm from

australia i recieved a letter today from the INTERNATIONAL LOTTO COMMISSION S.A.  It claims that i have won a large some of money. But due to a mix up of some numbers and names we ask that yoy keep this award secret from the public notice until your claim has been processed and your money remitted to your account as this is part of there protocol.Claim agent DR MARIO GOMEZ the foreign service manager of INFINITY SECURITY COMPANY S.A.  with a telephone no and fax no to contact them. That there is a processing fee and that 10% will go to them signed Maria jose Vice president lottery award board with a stamp saying international lotto commission s.a. madrid espana.

at this stage i have not been asked to send any money which won't be happening the form which i faxed on there fax no asked a) bank transfer (b) certified cheque

to be filled out. Would be very interested to here if any one else has recieved a letter like this and what they think i should do

I received a letter from the lotto commission with the same information about winning a large sum of money. it was too good to be true also and i decided to do a web search when they asked me to transfer £1950 into an account to cover the transfer fee. i asked about transferring half the amount and they quickly agreed which made me even more suspicious.

found this site and i'm glad i haven't gone throu with it.

has anyone discovered who these people are?

Thousands of small network spammers can be found throughout the wwworld. It's not a singular entity who is perpetrating this obscene act of indiscriminate identity & financial theft.

I'm glad you found our International forum! http://www.perspectives.com please spread the good word & save someone else today.. especially the older members of your community.. they are at most risk! contact your local newspaper & media if you want to help stamp these spammers out!

Hi Everyone

Thanks for this page. Just recieved my letter 5 minutes ago. It's pretty crazy but so obviously a scam. I just want to know where they got my address from and if I've been dishing it out in places I shouldn't be. Does anyone know where they've been getting our addresses?

Cheers!

Hi am also from Melbourne Australia

I received a letter from Madrid Spain on the 12th June 2007.

It also states I have won an amount of $831,400.00euro's and due to the mix up of names I should not tell anyone until the funds are in my account.

However I called Silva Anderson on the telephone number given who confirmed I have won and I should fax the payment processing form.  Later Icalled the other telephone number and spoke with  Mrs Maria Gomez - Vice President who confirmed it was not a scam.

It all sounds wonderfull but I need to know why they need your drivers licence or Passport. Sounds fishy but very tempting to submit the fax with my details for that sum of money.

Please advise

Just received an "award notification final notice" from International Lotto Commission.  They ask me to contact a MR. EPHRAIM FINLEY - SUPPOSEDLY THE FOREIGN SERVICE MANAGER OF PACIFIC SECUROS S.A. ESPANA.  From looking at this site I can assume that this is a scam as I hadn't entered any lottery of this kind.  The promotions director is Jose Antonio.  Anyone got any further information on this organisation?
