All of the beaches on the Sea of Cortez are good. It is going to be warmer than the Pacific side/Land's End area.
The only real place of concern is near Lover's Beach/Land's End. There are more deaths there (gringo's) annually than anywhere else on the entire Baja Peninsula. It is a force to be recknoned with.
DO NOT SWIM ON THE PACIFC SIDE IN CABO.
Medano Beach is safe and very popular. You can snorkel near Lover's Beach, but need to be very careful.
Hope this helps,
Gringa
