You won't find much at all. Ixtapa is a creation of the Mexican tourist board. It was created for the affluent in Mexico City ( much like going to the Hamptons for New Yorkers). They are very good at accomodating ALL vacationers, but the machismo that is the Latin culture still prevails. Zihuatanejo is still considered a village regardless of the airport and marina. They have had a few cruises specializing in alternate lifestyles stop by, but again the machismo.
I speak from experience as I have been so often that I finally broke down and bought property in Ixtapa.
Good luck, and if I hear of anything new I'll let you know

| Puerto Vallerta is well know for its gay community. Other than that, Mexico City is the only place you'll find openly out gay people. When I lived in the Yucatan, the only gay bar on the entire peninsula (excluding Cancun) was in Merida.

Give a PM to FightingLiberal. I hear he knows all about that sort of thing. He's single too if you are interested.

I was in Ixtapa in May and my husband mistakenly went into a bar that he eventually realized was a gay bar. It was actually in Zihua and had a rainbow flag flying outside, obviously he was oblivious to the obvious!
Once again good luck and if you want to check it out anyway, I own property in Ixtapa that we rent out. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo 2 blocks from the beach with a pool, full kitchen and security entrance with a guard

I am traveling to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo in March and wonder how to make connections with other gay men. Does anyone have advice for me?
Thanks!

| Coming to Ixtapa for a wedding 11/9-11/13 at Manzanillo Bay. Any chance of finding a young hairy legged Mexican man? Is it safe?
