Look at the guy who has signed the appointment letter ENGR. SCOTT ARNOLD, he in fact is http://www.bnaps.org/obits/obits.htm. The British North America Philatelic Society should sue this guy. Their server is registered and authorities can grab them if they want to.

Some one should report this to spanish police, thay are using the terms like spanish judiciary, visa department which are govt agencies and ahouls be handled by appropriate authority. Not very difficult to trap them. Easy at the point of collecting money, western union or the bank. Very easy to lure Indian into it. So be careful. God bless you.

Hi All,

I am Rupert Paul working in Kingdom Of Bahrain as an Engineer, I too received a email about a offer as Petroleum Engineer, I enquired about the job profile and in reply received a offer letter and request to apply for the Visa and Work Permit.

They gave me all the details of the job and are still insisting me to apply immediately for the visa but only through their given address and contacts.

It gave a thought to my mind that it can't be real as these people have not even asked about my job profile and experiences and have offered me this job with a such a high salary and facilities.

Please try to inform all people NOT to trust these kind of emails and never deposit any money in any of theirs accounts.

Thank God I saw your conversations, But for every one's info,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I tried to call on the Telephone Number given,,,,,,,,,,,,it works man and the same guy who is forwarding the emails replies  the call,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So don't even think that you had a talk with this guy so things are OK or correct please,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,beware of these thiefs and SPAMS.

Hope to receive more comments on the same topic, Take Care Guys.

Do not call him on the number that he has given you. Call the compnay, thier board line , go through the the receptionist and talk to HRD dept and reach the man who has sent you the appointment letter or any one in the compapny. This will confirm the validity of the letter. Good luck

Everything would point to the Spanish authorities playing a central role in apprehending these Spammers.. (they are impersonating a Spanish governmental institution which is a serious crime in Spain..)

JP, you doing wonderful job on this. Place of crime at the moment is Spain. The man or a group of them have subscribed to as members of Monster.com and thats how they can enter data werehouse of Monster and pick up resume. If monster.com looks at it closely, it is not very difficult to identify these guys, bacause all the recepients have their resume posted on this site and system administration know who is doing what with their we site. It is for spanish police to colloborate with Monster.com.

Indian police can do the same when the cheating is reported. And the person who will report is the person who has paid the money. And if that happers the story can get published in the main line news papers and force monster.com to work indentify the culprits.

Its my view anyway.

I'm unable to speculate on this.. however, those people who send money & fax personal details such as Passport # etc.. should apply for a new passport.. to combat (Identity theft)

Dear All,

My boyfriend also received same letter from Mr Samuel Fernandez of Sidenor Corporacion. He asks me to check online whether this is true or not. As i have browsed the net, seems that this company is a fraud and scam.
You see, sidenor emailed him and after answering all the questions attached in Mr Fernandez email, my bf was now hired. Seems to be very fast. Besides, most of the hired applicant has the same appointment letter written from page 1-6 except the salary and the position posted.
I also want to believe that this is true. Also, please help us to check if this is true. People in the european countries, help us to check whether this company exists truly and really do need to people to work for them.

Dear Ynna,

Last week I called Sidenor Germany to ask them firstly for information regarding a new location in Valencia just to make sure this fraud and secondly informed them about this email spam which goes around in India. This company definitely exists! BUT it does not hire people like crazy at the moment right from monster in that style we are experiencing here. AND: THEY DO NOT PLAN ANY SUBSIDIARY IN VALENCIA! These job offers are unreal. Sidenor knows that someone steals their name trying to cheat people who are far away located. If they would have so endless many vacant positions you would see them posted on their website. Did you check? Did your boyfriend have an interview?? A serious company never would hire you without. They need to know who they are dealing with...

I am not sure how to get these people, but do not tust this contact. This salary is uneal and the money plus also will never paid like this, unless you are a top manager of a global company. It smells a bit like Amercian recruiting system of top applicants...

Anyway - good luck and best wishes

Mermaid,

My bf did not apply for the job. It was sidenor who emailed him and because we thought monster.com is a reliable website to post resume, we assume that this is not a joke. Sidenor did not do any video online interview or did not call him for any interview by phone. They just sent an attached file questionnaire to answer.

I thought of it, that's why I came browsing the net. Also, i notice that the job description written does not match to the job experiences my bf had for the past 3 years. Thanks Mermaid. You and this forum help me a lot.

Hope to get more details about these companies or any companies that do the same thing.

Please keep me posted.

Thanks,
ynna

Dear Ynna,

If you read all the 3 pages of this forum topic, you will see that we all were contacted by them where we had not applied for! It is NOT Sidenor who contacts us. It is someone else who is just using all the contact information of Sidenor trying to steal identities via passport no.´s and Visa fees. Sidenor does not know these people who are contacting potential candidates and also does not know about the location of Valencia. All those industrial locations are in the North of Spain, but not at the eastern coast - a tourism area.

If your bf did the same contract of this guy, it seems to be the same fraud. So be careful and do not transfer money. This is a process which usually goes through the Spanish embassy of your home region. The address you can find as well in this forum.

Anyway if you have different news, keep us informed!

:-) ciao, mermaid

Dear all

I have asked for a complete company manual on company policies and regulations to be send to a resident address.

I have also asked for a scanned copy of the first month salary cheque to be payable to me be send to my email.

I told them I need these documents for my exit from my country to work in a foreign land.

So far, 1 week now - no reply.

Mr Samuel Fernandez is a joker. I am going to write an official complaint to the management of Sidenor.

Dear All

I have recieved this e-mail.
Please help me verify about its authenticity.
Is this spam?
Fraud?

After i replied to this e-mail, i recieved an online test for the job.
Later after i sent my online test with the answers, i recieved  a reply after a few days about being selected.

Now they are asking me to send them 900 Euros as the visa and work permit procurement fee.

Shall i proceed with the process, or is this spam or fraud?

Thanks
