News board requirements:
Choose the news of the day here by linking/excerpting a recent external news article (click "new topic" to start). Your post title (subject) must be the precise title of the linked story. Your opinions may only be in the replies/description.
The content (message portion) of your topic's FIRST post must be only a direct link with a maximum excerpt of the FIRST 25% (unedited) of the linked story but no comments by you, additional graphics, etc. No linking to site main pages, party/politician communications, registration-required, or web page host/Pr0 sites*. Linked stories must contain a date showing it was published or updated there the same, next, or previous day of the new topic linking to it (ET)**. Titles must match articles but you may edit out CAPS, punctuation & typos.
The "Op Editorial" board however is for standard user posts. See also the full rules.
* Youtube, MySpace, Blogspot, etc. or obscure Google PageRank zero (out of 10) sites may not be used as news sources. Other audio and video files may be fully link inserted if they are a news story as well may be an article's picture.
** For timeliness we measure the date on the article against US eastern time. If more than one date is indicated on the article we will use the internet publish date.
