I am moving with fiance dec.31 and we live in Texas. I am a pemanent resident that lost greencard but have Texas I.D. and passport.Will that be enouph to get in considering its us territory??

Since you have a passport you can come to the u.s. Virgin islands you would have to ask a lawery about getting a job  here.

do you know if they just check your i.d. when entering or what they do upon entering, just in case my passport hasnt made it on time? Do they just ask if you are a citizen or is it really strict.im just nervouse my passport wont be here on time but will have proof of filing for passport and texas id.

As of October 1, 2007, exceptions are no longer being made for those who have applied for their passport but haven't received it.

I'd check with the U.S. Dept of State about your particulars.   Definitely don't wait until you're in line at the airport.
