Yeah, Alaska is so incredibly beautiful and spacious. Been to both Hawaii and Alaska. Love Alaska for its wilderness and rich nature, Hawaii for its exotic beaches and relaxing atmosphere...

My knee has gotten considerably better since surgery. Roadtrips dont require much walking, but then again I'm likely going to stay put here for work until the summer ends.

There is so much good food in the US, it's a pity the Americans take so little time to enjoy it.

On all my trips to the US I have not succeeded in having a normal dining experience. Everything is rushed there. They serve your starter, main course and dessert all well within an hour instead of the usual three hours that one would normally take to enjoy a good meal.

See, the way I look at it, I may only spend half an hour eating a meal, but I eat four or five of them during the day, so it all averages out. :D:shock:

Now, the ethnic specific/regional food we've all skipped in this discussion is the pasty, from Michigan's UP.  Talk about delicious, I can eat those suckers by the dump truck load.  Those Finlanders really know how to cook a pot pie, let me tell ya.

Yes, and not only the Dutch for that matter. What is so strange about that? You're paying good money for a good meal. You don't want to rush it but enjoy your meal.
