I am an American who will be visiting Denmark for the first time in December this year. My friends are from Randers and I will be staying with them thru the New Year.
Any advice on something I can bring for them as a thank you for their hospitality? Although I'm somewhat knowledgeable on Danish etiquette, any insider advice would be greatly appreciated

| give them flowers or some "brand" from your local area. a bottle of wine or beer can be just fine. (something eatable/drinkable always is a huge success) Last edited on Sun Nov 16th, 2008 09:47 pm by roskilde rules

Also depends on your friends... if they are sportsfans, a shirt from your local team could fly high. Baseball glove or a football aswell, but otherwise as R R said, something from your part of the world that would be considered "exotic" for a Dane..
best of luck with your trip...

| Thank you very much for the advice mate! They are all into American football, so maybe something along those lines will suffice :-)
