Someday, I'd like to go on tours of Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, China, Korea and Japan. It'll probably never happen but to visit just one or two would be great.
Maybe a mini-tour of Iceland, too.

I've been lucky enough to travel quite a bit, but haven't made it to Australia or New Zealand. I'd love to free enough time and money to do that trip right.
I've also thought of traveling the path of the Silk Road. That would be fascinating.

French and the Italian Riviera (including Monako, Saint Tropez, Genoa and Naples)

I also want to see the archaeological remains of the Mayan, Aztec and Inca civilizations. I think that they are amazing!

New Zealand --- I'd love to see the southern constellations and the coastline of NZ.
I'd also like to travel to the Tuscany region of Italy, see St. Petersburg in Russia, and return to Enlgand and France. Paris was everything that it's cracked-up to be!

Been there, just this past summer. So that's now checked off on my list...
As for Paris, I wouldn't know. But I actually like Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam more than St. Petersburg, although people usually say that St. Petersburg is way more grand and majestic. Even though I spent a a few weeks with relatives in St. Petersburg, compared to just a few days in each European city I mentioned....
Nonetheless, St. Petersburg was awesome and unforgettable, imo.
If you ever go to Scandinavia, makes sure to see all the Scandinavian capitals EXCEPT for Helsinki. That is ONE boring town! ![[asleep]](/forums/themes/default/sleeping.gif)

Sounds absurd, but there is so much to see close to home. Every year I strive to visit a place I haven't seen yet. But there is so much still on the list. I think I will not leave Europe for the next few decades or so.
Places I want to visit, but yet have to visit:
- Spain: Madrid, Museo del Prado; Granada, Alhambra
- Portugal
- Norway
- Anything Italian south of Verona
- Finland, and have a proper sauna bath
- The Baltic states
- Ireland
- Iceland
- The Czech Republic
- Revisit the ex-Yugoslavian states (been there just before the war)

Would love to travel the whole planet but for now,my next planned trips are to the Grand Canyon ,Yellowstone and the West Coast, and Jamaica.
New Zealand would be my "dream" vacation probably.
And I'd highly recommend Hawaii and New York City (hopefully you made it there before 9/11 to visit the WTC) still a great place.Last edited on Sun Jun 7th, 2009 07:59 pm by grassroots

Aspen. Lake Tahoe. Yosemite National Park.
I don't really like the beach and the sun.
