Weather went Haywire - Thunder / Lightning / Precipitation!

Safety-Car Phase / Yellow Flag

Red Flag

Race suspended

Will Race-Director Charlie Whiting authorize a Re-Start??

(Less than 75% of Race done = Points divided by 2)

(Remember: Little Twilight in the Tropics - Running out of Daylight)

Teams need 10 Minutes to fire up their Cars.

We are running out of Daylight, while the Official Race-Time Clock is ticking; remember the 2-Hour Race-Limit!

Apparently, there will be a Re-Start behind the Safety Car.

Pretty confusing; all Drivers behind the first 3 Drivers got to "un-lap" themselves, after the SC pulls out.

We then would have 10 Minutes of Race-Time left, approximately.

Where is "my" Expert WilmyWood??

One or the other Ferrari Guru was mumbling something about Kimi & Kerbs. Not sure, as to whether Kimi will (be able to) re-join at Re-Start.

While the ever so wise David Coulthard in his Rookie BBC-Commentator Role remarked, that there will be no Re-Start, without Drivers sitting in their Cars.

Nothing official as yet, or so it seems!! A win for Button??

Button's dad, in an interview just now, said, that nothing was sure about his son ever sitting in a race-car again.

Apparently, it's over! No Re-Start! Congratz @ Brawn!!

01 Button / 02 Heidfeld / 03 Glock -> Calculation after last completed Lap (31), just before Red Flag!

Morn', Wilmy!   :)   No link, I'm afraid. Heard/saw that via a BBC interview, while the World was awaiting Charlie Whiting's decision about re-starting the MAL F1 GP. Anyway: "... not sure about his son ..." refers to the period during which Button Jr had no F1 seat.

The FIA should not have fixed the MAL F1 GP that late in the afternoon MAL time (UTC +8).

What will Bernie E. think of next??

Officials in Malaysia have confirmed they will review the start time of next year's Grand Prix after last weekend's race was ruined by monsoon rain.
F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone switched the start to 5.00pm local time to increase the television audience in Europe.
