But not for pizza.

I'd love to have some spicy Chinese fish filet & sweet-and-sour sesame chicken with clumped rice, right now.

But everything's closed and I'm sitting here amidst a stack of papers.. all of which are inedible.

Why do Russian people love Asian food so much?  I just don't get it

Yeah. I don't really get it either.

I've loved mom's Russian dishes ever since being a small kid-  borsh, napoleon cake, peroggi, home-made cottage cheese, etc etc.

But at college, I like to diversify my tastes.

There's nothing as good as Asian and Indian food. Whenever I get tired of Asian food, I go for Indian, and vice versa....

"Tort Napoleon" is an exclusively Russian Pastry that was invented in memory of the defeat of the French Napoleonic military invasion that tried, but failed to conquer Russia in 1812:

You can look up the recipes for it on Google. It's very good!

I spent a whole summer perfecting the art of pizza and bread baking.  Before I began I weighed 170 lbs.  The fall after that summer I weighed 210 lbs.  I also perfected lazognia.  I don't do much of that kind of cooking anymore, now.  Not only because it made me fat, but because almost everyone in my family has become diabetic.

I love Indian food - but Russians make the best soups and stews.  My mother makes a wonderful hot borsh and fish soup (Solyanka).  mmmmm :)

I like to go out and grab a slice at some local joints.  I'll make my own sometimes, but there's nothing like that slice from a Brooklyn pizzeria.
