We are going to PV in Feb. and are looking for a nice place to stay.  Something right by the water but with a nice pool also.  Don't really care if there is alot of night life--just going to get sun and relax.  We are not sure if we want to do all inclusive or not so any ideas will help.
What is the weather like in PV at this time of the year??
Thanks

Puerto Vallarta offers so many options from  upscale hotels and/or mega-resorts, to smaller quaint accommodations, and everything in between.  Something for all budgets in terms of size, amenities, location, AI or optional, adults-only, family-oriented, etc.

Would you like to stay in the downtown area (or nearby - beach properties or walking distance) where you can experience the friendly culture, restaurants, shops, etc. of Puerto Vallarta?   OR...

You may be interested in Nuevo Vallarta where some of the larger resorts offer better beaches, but you are further from town (not really in Puerto Vallarta).  Sun and relaxation is exactly what you will get.

I personally do not like to do all-inclusive in PV because of the many varied and mouth-watering dining choices.

Hoping not to add to the confusion, you'll get a great idea of the "lay of the land" and location of hotels on this map.  It starts downtown and you can move up or down to get your bearings.
