Lets go Phils!!!
It was pointed out to me today that 7 Phils regulars including Burrell who is now gone batted below their career averages last season and yet still managed to be World Champs. Absolutely amazing! Watch for Utley to have an MVP year, and Hamels to win the Cy Young. He is the best lefty I have seen since Steve Carlton. A change of atmosphere for Chan Ho Park may be a good thing also.

If that is what the arbitrators rule. Hell the Phils were offering Jayson Werth 4 mil for two years, he wanted 6 mil, and ended up getting 10 mil for the two years at arbitration, figure that one out. As far as Howard goes, I don,t think the Phils have a problem giving him the 18 mil, but they do not want to sign him long term. I guy as big as Howard will eventually become a liability on the field as his legs will go. Look for him the in AL as a designated hitter within the next 3 years.

His name spelled backwards is Krap. If he is not in a pitcher's park like Dodger Stadium he gets lit up like the Rockefeller Christmas tree.

He had some good years with the Dodgers back in the late 90's. As of recent I only seen him in last years NL championship serious and was quite impressed with his velocity. At this point he will compete for the number 5 spot with Kendrick and rookie Jay Happ, who was very impressive the end of last season. My bet will be Happ earns the spot. But Manual seems to always find a role for veterans that works to their advantage. Up until this past World Series win, the Philly fans were very critical of Charlie. I fell in love with him in 07 as he managed to get the Phils to a post season with the beat up pitching staff that he had. He was a genius to move Brett Myers into the closing role, even after having very little in the way of starting pithcing. Citizens Bank park is a pitchers nightmare, but Charlie knows how to work it with the deep bullpen that he has. Park may well fit into that role. JC Romero was considered washed up when he came to the Phils and turned out to be one of the key factors in the pen.

I hear ya...T oday was tigerfest down at fraud field and Leyland was on the radio talking very optimistically about the whole pitching staff, dontrelle and joel in particular. He said zoom was throwing off a mound and touching high 90's and that willis was simply throwing strikes. He likes the new starter we got from,uh,tampa?,i'm not sure but jim sounded like he was ready to go.
