Bonaire is a warm island, with friendly people and critters.

It isn't as lush as Panama, but it has the same deep tropical feel.  The trade winds keep Bonaire from ever feeling oppressively hot.  Gringos need plenty of sunscreen however.

The guys in the first picture were part of the resort staff.  Everyone was very nice.

The wild donkeys roam the island.  They are very gentle, especially the babies, as you can see.

We liked the waterfront bar.  There are a bunch of good restaurants and shops in the quaint downtown.  The nightlife is pretty low key, but fun.  The local rum from Curacao is very good.

Great beaches, perfect windsurfing, and world class diving.
