I have a Paint, a thoroughbred, and a Morgan/ quarter horse.

I started a horse thread about a year ago but nobody replied.

I'll post pics again sometime.

I have two horses, a pony and a mule
I used to ride them a lot, even the mule, but I finally came to realize riding horses is really, really dangerous
Horses are tempermental, spook easy and can either throw you or roll on top of you
Getting thrown from a horse at full gallop can usually end you up either in a hospital or dead on the spot. Most riders don't wear a helmet, so if you get thrown from ten feet in the air going twenty five to thirty miles an hour and you hit a rock, you're pretty much done for
I once was on a horse going over a ridgeline when it stumbled and i went sailing over it's head. i hit the ground hard, looked up and saw my foot was still in the stirrup. the horse was rearing up and stomping. their hoofs are enough to crush your skull with one stomp. I pushed my hand on his flank while the other grabbed his reins which caused us both to spin in a circle. Had i let go he would have took off and dragged me across rocks and bolders. I decided to go for my knife to cut me free. When i did he took off, but luckily thast caused my foot to pop out of the stirrup.
I lay there for two hours with broken ribs until one of my ranch workers showed up. When a horse returns to his stall riderless it means the rider is down

I may still ride again, but only if it's necessary, otherwise I'll take my dirtbike

I had a Quarter Horse several years ago.. registered in AQHA.

Excellent horse, kinda ornery but not mean.
