My wife and I are considering a weekend get away on the 3rd weekend of June......perhaps Omaha
We know about the zoo........that'll be top on the list
What other attractions/event would you suggest?
We're thinking like a B & B on a lake or something like that.

you could try old market in the day for a nice place to walk outside and shop. it's a nice place to take a date.
i'd say the best time to go is friday or saturday around 3-4. sun is still out, you get to explore a little and act like a tourist. just walk around the area all day.
then pick one of the restaurants in the area for dinner and a drink. some restaurants are a little pricey like the french connection. spaghetti works is a nice place for lunch. there are also horse carriages you guys can do.
