So where is this "feeding frenzy" happening? I can't see one, and neither can you. How many follow-up stories have you read about the Muslim who tried to board a Calgary to Saskatoon flight with a gun? How much have you heard about the Muslim in Buffalo who beheaded his wife? Anything more on the honour killings story? No, you say?
Some "feeding frenzy"
The fact is that you don't realy want to discuss Islam.
The fact is that's exactly what I want to discuss. Every time I talk about specific verses and hadiths, all I get in return from TC and you is more spittle to clean off my screen. You want to talk Islam? Let's go.
Further, you may have read the Quran a thousand times yet you're still completely unable to tell the difference between political Islam and religious practices of most Muslims-- a basic distinction that anyone familiar with Islam understands.
As I told TC, Islam is an all-inclusive belief system. The fact that there's even such a thing as sharia law should be a clue. Sharia is based on the fact that god has given us all we need to know, so any man-made law is a blasphemous attempt on improving on his dictates.
An Environics poll shows that more than half of Canada's Muslims want sharia law given legal status here. They want to change our legal system to incorporate a 6th century religious code, yet I still don't see any "feeding frenzy". Do you?
You're trying (and failing miserably) at condemning any Muslim who beleives in the teachings of the Quran and trying to paint them with the same brush as terrorists. Deny it all you want but you've stated it plainly here: the only Muslims who aren't terrorists aren't really Muslims. And that's an absolute load of crap,
I think you and I agree that the quran was made up by Mohamed as he went along (in fact Aisha even chided him once in a hadith for "conveniently" having a revelation allowing him another wife).
He was in it for power and chicks, and he was spectacularly successful in getting both. How do you raise a army? You create an enemy. That would be us, my friend. That would be us.
As an aside, it is NEVER mentioned in the quran or a hadith that the quran should be written. What that should tell anyone with more than 2 brain cells is that Mohamed didn't give a crap what happened to Islam after he died. Further proof is that he didn't appoint a successor, which led to the predictable schism that followed shortly after his death.

Did you not listen to this? Aren't the "moderate" Muslims in this saying EXACTLY what I've been saying?????????? Especially the whole who's-a-real-Muslim debate??????????
And yes, we need more of this type of discussion. Lots more. That's what I'm trying for on this forum, but you and TC simply go balistic every time I try.
