Should the board rules be changed on access, and if so how?

Well, many of our non-abrahamic religious posters have expressed unhappiness with the presence of other perspectives on this board.  Both the materialist atheists and the new/age/pagan/wiccan have advocated throwing the other off the board, so clumping this board together with faith/prayer would, I fear, lead to pretty much all posters here to decamp.

I was proposing a fix for something I see as a problem.  We have very few posters here.  But somewhere on the order of 15% of what posters we do have are from people who should not be on this board.  These visitng posters have been very polite, and I hate throwing them off the board when they are adding value to discussions.  They tend to be Abrahamics who hold by "new-age-like" religious views, and as such sort of straddle the boundaries between this and the faith/prayer board.

Allowing these people to post here, but under rules like the non-libertarians have to follow on the libertarian board, should make the board more lively.

LOL well having been away from the board for a while, I'm quite confused how I should vote.

What's with all the option B,C,D,E,F,G?  How should I know which is which?

I'm all in favor of letting others post on this board if they're polite, stick to the topics and don't push their version of religion.

And yes I have noted the low readership/involvement with this forum.  As per before, my feeling on this is I don't post because it's not a safe space.  Given a "pagan" place I might post.  Given an athiest place, athiests might post.  But everything here either becomes a drag-out fight between the athiests and the pagans, or the majority of us just move on to another forum.

Want readership?  Set up a place where people WANT to post.

Despite all that, there are some great folks on this board and I've been missing you.

Well, we have two other proposals on the table:  B is to make this a Reincarnation beleiver only board.  C is to combaine this board with Faith/prayer as a no-hostility/no-advocacy board for any POV.

We have also had a troll try to screw up the poll, which had been 1/6/1/0/0/0/0 before the troll tried to mess it up by voting for anything but option A.  Read the posts to count the votes for each option.  I take Norton's post as a vote for No Change.  I think we have a 1/7/1 vote score at the moment.

I don't think the answer to fixing a boring forum is to make it a boring version of a better forum.

No.

As a religious Jew, I believe in reincarnation and enjoy interacting with/learning about kabbalistic mysticism which I personally believe comes from the unfathomable, though loving Creator/Prime Mover and Its mysterious ways of using The 10 Sefirot.

Since I occasionally post on the Abrahamic board, then I can't post here, right?

Anyways, sorry that I intruded your board...  My sincere apologies..

(feel free to delete/edit this post if necessary)

Admin has ruled that he will not change the formally stated rules for this forum, but we forum mods are free to allow non-hostile visitors to post at our discretion.

I ask that any visitors pm Zonnebloem and myself, and keep all postings supportive and non-hostile.
