I'd say the ultimate is when your company is the "household" name for a type of product.
A few off the top of my head:
- Coke
- Jacuzzi
- Clorox
- Mack Truck
- Xerox

Maybe it's a US thing, but what I mean is when a brand name is used in conversation, when describing the type of product they make, whether it's that actual brand or not.
Google, definately!
Caterpillar makes me think of another big one, Winnebago.

| Many Folks in the Far East tend to term Colgate as a Synonym for Toothpaste, and Caterpillar as a Synonym for Loaders. As well as Panadol for Painkillers.
