How to be an Obama fan
Applaud and beguile Him
Reward and smile at Him
Give Him praise and adulations
Give Him your love and adoration
Obama is in need of all our help
To heal the US from the inside out
To do this we all must emulate the One
In unison a song must be sung
A song of enlightenment and congratulations
For Obama is the unifier of these United Nations
Back Him up
Help Him stand strong.
Obama is our man and this should be our song.

What would make you say that?
Is that how you look at it?

What do you see that is in poor taste?
I don't understand how you could say that?
We have school children praising Obama and as evidenced by some posters avatars of Obama being Superman.
How is my poem in poor taste?

Because it's a mockery, and you are a fraud.

That's pretty strong considering you have no Idea who I am.
Are you telling me that the video's of the children praising Obama are frauds and mocking the President.
The teenagers on CNN dancing and singing praise of Obama are frauds and mockeries?
That the avatars of the President being superman are frauds and mockeries as well.
Who are you to be jury, judge and executioner of character and intent?
Please show me how you come to your conclusion. I am offended that you do not even give me any benefit doubt. You charge forward with such an accusation not based upon any facts. Just your opinion.
How mature and intelligent of you.
My poem is self explanatory and from the heart.
Wow; such brilliance.

Oh waitlet me give praise to George Bush!
Here is to Bush a great man of vision
A man who dared to take on the world of muslims
A man whose vision was to clean out the US Treasury
A man who would dare decive americans one and all
A man who demanded a vote count backing up his war intentions.
Let us all praise the great man who gave us the world of forclosures.
A man whose vision was to backrupt a nation he dared say he loved.
Let us then priase the man who lied each day he sat in office.
Praise him high and praise him low with great adoration!
Ah yes is that mocking the Man we know as Bush or is that Praising him most high?

I know that songs of praise are big in some places (the 3rd Reich comes to mind), but aside from church, we aren't that into repeating trite phrases to praise or worship our political leaders.
Now, if you are a thinking person, I'm sure you can see how you showing up here and posting this would seem a bit suspicious.
So what else you got? More poems? Perhaps an opinion or two? If you are not a liberal or democrat, this is not the board for you to be posting on. If you are, let's hear your opinions and see what you are about.

So let's see!
I write what is imo a good poem.
A poem that has given adulations to President Obama.
No less than that which has been done by the Nobel Committee and many across the nation in various forms.
I happen to find a forum that might just appreciate the poem and I post it.
Instead of looking at the poem and commenting about it as the topic. I am becoming the topic.
edro14 makes up a few lines and wants me to grade it mockery or praise in comparison to my poem. There is no comparison. The two are different all together.
I'll let the readers figure out how they are not the same.
So the poem to some is a fraud and a mockery? Such is the life of poems. Other may find it a nice tribute to the President and see a need to pray for guidance for him.
Many children across the country in the inner cities are idolizing him and we have been asked; what is wrong with looking to Obama as a roll model?
This too must be a mockery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVi4rUzf-0Q

Well, I guess it is up to everyone to make up their own mind what they think of your poem.
I'm interested in your views - specifically if you belong on this board or not.
We have many people come here and try to cause trouble or sneak onto this board. You are miserably failing the sniff test.
So, what else you got? I'd like to hear some of your political opinions to determine if this is where you belong. Or you could write another poem.

I'm not hear to cause trouble at all.
Where have I done any of that?
I have posted this poem and nothing more.
What I am finding out is that a poem is being judged by a group of people in a forum that is labeled Liberal & Democrat, not on it's merits but upon the opinions or political affiliation of the author.
That simply does not make sense to me.
I do not find anything of or in the poem to be offensive or insinuating.
Is everything look at through the prism of political affiliation here such that an innocuous poem is being panned based upon the fabrications of judgments against the author?
Is this really how we as a people think?
Interesting.
Good luck with your site.

| Alright, you want me to assess your poem? It sucks. If you are for Obama, then why would you beguile him? Beguile means to trick someone by flattery which sounds like a Republican thing to do, if you ask me.

Not all liberals have to support Obama, but the above posters are right. The poem was written either by a fanatic or, more likely, to insult Obama.
Those 'Super-Obama' avatars by the way are, at least on this site, used to mock him.
