To recap things, Philadelphia beat the Dodgers 4 games to 1 and theYankees beat the Angeles 4 games top 2.

The clash of the titans ! An epic World Series ! The powerful Yankees and the Mighty Phillies !! These are just some of the headlines I'm reading as I browse through the sportswriters columns. This is the mother of all World Series lol.

Phillies win and I don't care in which game it comes. [grin]

Well,I was born in Brooklyn and lived in the Bronx for 2 years after graduating from high school and worked in Manhattan '80 to '82,so you could say my heart's always had a soft spot for the Yankees...

Philly's got the edge but I'm going with NY in 7.

Wizards of a modern age cast spells of electric power
But the corporate strings that make them dance, lead up to an ivory tower
There sit the fates in solitude, far from the public eye
No one ever sees them smile, and nothing makes them cry

Welcome to the kingdom, the land of bought and sold
A world of real-life fantasy where truths are seldom told
Try hard to remember all that glitters is not gold
You can pay the piper, but you cannot buy his soul

It's just a game, you're in it all the way
It's just a game, don't let yourself slip away
It's such a shame, I heard somebody say
It's just a game, and all I can do is... Play

What do you choose, now, what do you believe, now,
Who are you gonna trust?
All your dreams and fantasy schemes
Just crumble into dust

Calm and cool and computerized, they calculate and collect
We wait and watch and wonder
Just which puppet they'll select

Like the moth, too near the flame,
Who learned his truth too late
We're all too deep into the game that is the master of our fate

The poets and the pipers have got their motives
And you've got yours, no doubt
And so the game continues
That's what it's about...

It's just a game, you're in it all the way
It's just a game, don't let yourself slip away
It's such a shame, I heard somebody say
It's just a game, and all I can do is... Play

Lame ? You want an answer to lame ? Your original post is lame. It sounds like an 8 year old who can't decide on chocolate or vanilla and decides on a flavor simply because the rest of the kids in line ordered it[fallingdown]

And you can take your sweep and stick it dear. [grin]

Sweety....I high-fived Willy Randolph at Yankee Stadium in 1981....probably before you were even born.

And,being 48 now, getting told that I sound 8 is quite a compliment. Thank you.

Now run along and get your nap before supper young lady.....maybe we can talk figure skating later.

Accusing you of being a child of 8 when you're really 48 is hardly a compliment. Are all of your 14 thousand plus posts this bad ?[fallingdown]

Why don't you look and see. Wait- let me guess....you " wouldn't waste your time " ....correct ?

Well whatever. Your hatred for the Yankees,NYC,me and apparently humor and youthfulness is noted....Now will you please run along and leave me alone. You're beginning to sound like my wife....but luckily, after 22 years of marriage she, unlike you, knows when to shut up and accept me for who I am instead of judging me.

But thanks for the heads up in case we ever meet in person. ...I'll be sure to walk the other way.
