| Funny,it was'nt too long ago that Pres.Bush was being maligned by the left like Obama is by the right today.I believe both deserve their lick's as well as praise for attempting to take a job that not many in their right mind would envy. That being said, i do feel that the Dem's are headed for the same fall next year and 2012 that the G.O.P. faced in '06 and '08.American's are justifiably concerned about this country and the world.

Explain exactly how he re-wrote American politics?
Here is what he did. He made great speeches, light on details, and heavy on rhetoric. He managed to fool enough of the American people to get himself elected.
The good thing is that it won't happen again. It's painfully obvious in his first 9 months that the President of the United States doesn't have the luxury of hiding behind the rhetoric and grand promises. When actual decision are made the people start to see just how few clothes the emperor has on.
I would be happy to explain. No African-American has ever been elected to the highest seat of power in this country's long history. I would say that is a major accomplishment. The speeches he made gave a country hope after 8 years of utter misery.
Please don't tell me you voted for Bush twice. A man who you elected without speeches. Obama has used thoughtfulness, diplomacy and vision in handling the enormous mess that the GOP left. He will be elected again on the simple fact that he's not Republican. He already received the Nobel Peace Prize for the same feat.
Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize. ![[fallingdown]](/forums/themes/default/laughing.gif)

Yes he's charismatic. I would trade all the traits you described for a dyslexic lesbian pygmy in a wheelchair that could balance a budget, lower my taxes and be an effective commander in chief.
Obama's vision must be a bankrupt country.

I don't recall Carter blowing a trillion dollars of our tax money invading the wrong country (based on trumped up intel).
Maybe that's because he didn't do such a stupid thing.
But, as we all know, Bush did.

What's funny is losers trying to talk like winners.
The last 'loser' President? That would be 'Blinky'.
Obama makes Bush look good.
Perhaps, but only to a blind man with a memory shorter than 9 months..........

Yes, of course he's my President and I am dealing with it in the most appropriate mannner: doing my part, however tiny, to insure he is defeated in everything he attempts which betrays and or undoes the Constintution. As for "thoughtful" and "visionary": HELL NO. The rest, yes, deinitely. Intelligence, creativity and charisma are things which can be used for good or evil; in the case of Obama more often than not he uses those gifts for the latter.

Yep,and Obama is going to kill what's left of manufacturing, bring higher taxes, higher debt, a massive new government welfare system, a million new government employees sucking the teat and eventual bankruptcy.
Liberal policies all lead to a California style meltdown. There is no debate about that.
You feeling the "change" yet Mal? 10.2% of us are.

Blah, blah maybe, but what I said can't be disputed. Maybe if some of us warn enough of the American people that the Obama agenda is going to bankrupt us we will finally wake up?
The lie that enough government can save us has been conclusively disproved in California. Their government has brought them to the brink, EXACTLY what Obama will do for us.
And tell me Mal, what do the people have to show for the brilliant liberal agenda in CA? Gang violence, failing schools, rampant illegal immigration and a bankrupt government? I thought the streets would be paved with gold? What happened?
Liberalism is institutionalized failure. The Obama, Pelosi, Reid agenda takes it to the next level, or should I say the next low.
I can't wait until the rest of the world stops buying Obama IOU's and the federal government all but shuts down.

All one need do is compare the growth of government spending with the growth in tax revenues and the growth in the California economy. Spending far exceeded growth in the economy. Someone posted the chart that showed exactly what the problem is, it was excessive growth in government. EXACTLY the same thing Obama is going. At a certain point you either have to dramatically raise taxes or curtail spending. If you do neither you will face bankruptcy. It's really not that difficult.

"Now you want to denigrate a hard working black man"
Are you suggesting that most black men don't work hard? If so, that would be racist.
