I've watched this campaign for some time now, and I'm pretty shocked at the numbers at this point. Deeds closed the gap a few months back to about 4 points. Around that time, Deeds did an interview, which ended up being a campaign ad for McDonnell.

I don't think, in my lifetime, I've seen a political ad doing nothing but showing footage of the other candidate, have such a drastic impact on a race.

I cannot find the 1 minute ad that's been airing here in Virginia, just the footage from that ad. There is no commentary from McDonnell (R) in the spot, just his name at the end. It's basically "here's my oppoent, I'm stepping out of the way on this one".

Here in Virginia, for decades, has been a red state when it comes to Presidential politics. Virginia voted Obama in '08. For Senate, we're pretty purple. However, Mark Warner (D) won big on John Warner's empty Senate seat, and Jim Webb (D) defeated George Allen a couple years earlier. We've also had two back-to-back Dem. Senators (Mark Warner/Tim Kaine).

The race us Virginians are voting on tomorrow has McDonnell, as of today, anywhere between 10-18 points ahead of Creigh Deeds Source . This ad had a lot to do with it, in my opinion. The direction of the country might have a little something to do with it as well. ;)

(The first two minutes are what's in the ad, amazing stuff)

^ This is difficult to watch, lol

Voting makes me happy, no matter win/lose/draw.

If anything interesting happens, I'll be sure to report.

Back!

6:30am, scored some Krispy Kreme's and a large coffee before getting to the polling place. Everyone was polite, but, as per LOT's request, I took pictures, lol.
