We even have people in our own party wanting to doom the republican party to political impotence and obscurity by calling for a 3rd party.  What they really want is for the conservative base to split off and start a 3rd party.  These are the thoughts of the moderates.

Well, if the moderates want a 3rd party, thats just fine, let them leave the republican party and start the "Moderate Party", and leave the republican party to the conservatives.

I'd still rather see a 3rd party...

We've tried them before.  They are usually useless because they can't find a candidate with an IQ above 50 or isn't crazier then hell or thinks the answer to all our problems is a $10 gas tax.

Wait a sec.

Republicans nominated John "I'mma Liberal!" McCain, and you wanna laugh at 3rd party candidates?

Hahahahaha

There has never been a better time for a third to step forward - and I have to believe they know it.  It's perfect.  All they would have to say is look where the Pubs and Dems have taken us...debt, government health care, the economy, jobs, wars etc...Had enough?

And frankly - I'd absolutely love to see the business-as-usual, elitist, back room dealing GOP, my party for twenty years now, SQUIRM.

To hell with all of 'em.

AMEN...!  The number of politicians I trust from both parties is: ____________ !

As for seeing them SQUIRM.  Not good enough. If only Term Limits really were possible. Otherwise. How do you spell  BEND OVER AMERICA?

Agreed.

The real lesson hasn't been learned yet.  We've got to see the conservative base stop being ok with phony platitudes and rhetoric and demand real conservative leaders.

This is all for naught if the Republicans are allowed to revert back to the Bush days of Big Government/Big Spending.

I am hoping they realize when the shoe was on the other foot in the last election and this will be enough to make them think first before their votes.  Of course not all will, but enough that things will begin to change.  What we have to do is continue to hound them all and let them know, change or else.  No other way will work.

Barack Obama watched an HBO special about himself instead of the elections.
