Doesn't lend to too much confidence in their abilities to capture and end this.
what's your freakin' problem anyway, you have virtually no idea what's going on here, how about we wait for the story to emerge before the Monday morning QBs tell us how they could have handled it better
What a charmer you are. Of course I don't know what's going on, other than what I hear reported, but my question is valid.

My apologies for jake58. Now is not the time for joking.. or partisan comments.
Reports that there are 2 MAYBE 3 shooters in soldier's uniforms.

Kudos to C2C for doing this.
Un freaking believable that people would make this tragedy something to JOKE ABOUT.
Meh, consider the sources.
Lynne.. I could care less who they are.
This is beyond tasteless.
It's beyond any standard of decency however it's ignorable as these fools are only making a pronouncement that they are incapable of being adults when maturity is called on to trump all other personnel priorities.
Exactly, they crave attention and probably won't retract their statements anyway, so let's just ignore them.
I just can't believe the horror these young men and women are feeling. I personally would be scared to death about being deployed to war, but to be on home soil and see your fellow soldiers being killed...I'm at a loss for words.
Thank you c2c, for the updates.

Alias Emily2. Listen for a second. Because it is a very large ARMY base where everyone is probably in uniform. The misconception you seem to have is...they are NOT all walking around with Loaded weapons. In fact. Like every other military base here in the States. The only people with weapons are those performing their guard duties, or those training. Everyone else must go to an armory to get their weapons, and ammunition. It's not like what you surmise an Army base looks like from the movies. Does that explain WHY well enough for you?

Reporting: One male age thirty in custody. One male age 40 in custody.
Reporting: Now nine dead
One suspect an Army Major, "Arabic sounding name". - Let's not read anything into this.
One more suspect still being sought.
Five hundred soldiers currently sweeping base.

Usually when something like this happens, you have the MP take care of the problem.
However, word is now that they are dispersing up to 500 "other" soldiers to sweep the base.

Yeah, these kinds of rampages tend to occur (as rarely as do) at colleges and schools like Columbine or Virginia Tech....
I haven't heard of anything this bad in military bases...
