I hope loyal Americans who either are and/or look Muslim are not having to put up with added insults/mockings today because of this.
And as for President Obama's reaction? I have no idea what people think he is doing wrong.
I believe that to treat these 13 dead people any differently then any one else who has honorably died in uniform is wrong.
They are no more or less heroic then the thousands that have given their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan already.
And their deaths should be mourned no greater or less either (imo).

A picture began to emerge today of the suspect in the Fort Hood shootings as a mental-health professional who had worked to help others in high-stress situations. The alleged gunman was identified as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, military.
Take a look at the alleged blog post of Maj. Hasan here on a site that many believe may have been his:
NidalHasan scribbled: There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that "IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE" and Allah (SWT) knows best.

BTW - my point was I hope these 13 deaths won't be given more attention then those that die(d) in combat.

Other than the fact that he may have been being deployed to do his Sworn duty, Sworn to Congress.
As for security Clearances,,, They are done right the first time,, most doctors don't have a need for one, other than enlistment. Which everyone gets there may be changes there. I believe that this is an example of our societal events being played out in the pre military environment, war is a great change for an individual, on a larger scale. How many people have walked into buildings and shot a bunch of people? Many, This time is was on a Military Base. Without your conspiracy theories this is just another example of a Man loosing it and having access to bigger an more weapons. Which is where the investigation started, after the first responders took him out. Great Job. Many more would have been lost at the scene if not for the first aid given by those not injured and in the area.

have been succesfully used against the KKK. I forget what the laws are but the KKK
has been fined bigtime for advocating violence. Right wingers and southern poverty
law center making common cause?
