Tea Parties are leading the GOP to ruin, and the GOP seems powerless to stop their free fall from mainstream to fringe. The latest tea party demonstration was again the scene for expressions of the most vulgar and outrageous insults to the President, Democrats and health care reform.

The left uses the word "hate" to describe their opposition in the same skewed manner in which they use the word "centrist" or "moderate" to describe Obama. There's no truth to it.
Just as the word "racist" doesn't mean anything anymore, nor does the word "hate"

Turning the GOP into a more unique entity isn't going to help.
It has to be open and inclusive.

Er... the author of this article has made a couple of grammatic errors which caused an eyebrow to raise.
Personally, I've always LIKED the story of Sambo (yes, little black Sambo). We used to play the game in my racially mixed neighborhood when I was growing up and were all disappointed when it was labeled racist. I always thought Sambo was pretty smart to trick the tiger like that.
But I digress.
The extreme fringe of nearly any movement can cause failure of that movement - or conversely - provide momentum.
Eww, dead bug on a disc.

Republicans won in NJ by playing to the middle. The real shocker in NJ was the amount of support that the Dems still got with such a weak candidate.
Repubs won in VA because Deeds was a bad candidate with a confused plan that first distanced from Obama and then embraced him.
Voters were asked specifically if either election was a referendum on Obama and the vast majority said they voted on local issues. I don't see how either are a victory for the tea-party crowd.

| The Tea Party is now an official political party in Florida. Methinks the folks behind the Tea Parties have in mind a permanent base from which to exert on-going pressure on the GOP. This model has been used by the Libertarian Party with some recent success, as well as the Constitution Party and some others. Think of it as the Concord Coalition for folks with two-digit IQs. Good luck to them!

2 digit IQ's? Puh-lease.
Given the monumental sucess communism has enjoyed through out the world, it's supporters have zero basis for saying others have sub-humanoid intelligence.

I am still rolling in the aisles at the libbies fighting the last war.
The GOP is dying. GREAT! That doesn't mean conservative opposition has dropped off...
But hey, keep attacking a meaningless brand name if you wish. It's the extremists y'all elected that are destroying the country and your party.

There are a few nuts in every bag when it comes to political gatherings. Liberals know this but choose to make the exceptions the rule when it comes to Tea Party activists. Never mind the liberals who hanged Bush in effigy or created movies of his assassination. These are the same people who called him worse names than Obama has been called and still continue to do so.
Conclusion: Liberals opinions of conservatives mean nothing since liberals fear anything different from themselves, and try to destroy it. When you are a liberal, you can never claim moral high ground since you dispatched morality to the trash heap decades ago.

The niche never works.
It's like a cult or a national basket weaving party.

The cult is what is occupying the White House now. By the time they are finished, woven baskets will be our main export. Start practicing.

You had a party that marched in lockstep with a President who deliberately invaded a country that never attacked us, based on trumped up intelligence. Bush deserved every bit of criticism he received.
Now, in your grief, you right wingers imagine that Obama is worse than Bush was. The problem is, he isn't - and you're making fools of yourselves.
