| I live in the Seattle area and will attend college (as of this september) for 4+ years at UBC, Vancouver. I feel priviledged to live in such close proximity to an expansive and majestic northerly neighbor. Last edited on Thu Aug 16th, 2007 06:12 am by Pseudo-Soviet Dictator

As soon as we get Bush out of the White House, our relations will once again be as they should -- equal partners.
Equal partners? That's like a blue whale being equal partners with clam.

True. America, without dispute, is the greater Power and the centre of the world's collective economic, intellectual and diplomatic strength. For that reason, I feel proud to be a citizen of the U.S. ..... but Canada is nonetheless an awesome place as well.
Canada's positives though are its exceptionally low poverty rate, higher living standards, neutrality in global conflicts and much cleaner cities & a more environment-friendly attitude.

Likely, but there are enough haters of the other side of the border in both countries.

Why the hell would we be jealous of the United States? Your three major police departments are man'd by as many people as we have in all of Canada. That speaks volumes.

wanna know what's awsome about Canada?
We had a civil war out in western Canada somewhere, it lasted a couple hours, bar fight...the only person arrested was an American!
I am not an American basher, i believe the States have a lot to offer...cheaper cars, wal-mart, Michael Moore to name a few, but as a Canadian I am fed up with being made fun of because we are a peacekeeping country, look at hockey...is that peacekeeping i think not...that is a brash sport, teeth get knocked out, limbs broken, slashes across the face with skates....sticks....pucks...., and hell we are the funniest planet around look at our actors/comedians....Jim Carrey, Howie Mandel, Seth Rogan, Leslie Neilson, music is a huge market here....The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, bedoiun soundclash, Anne Murray.
And believe me when most of us say we are Canadian we are proud of every word we say

Hate one, you hate them both, nobody really has a reason to hate any people, anyone who believes one is better than the other is in denial.
