I am looking for any information on a place in Denmark called Myrtuegaard. It is a place where my great, great, great, grandfather was born. I do not know if the name has changed since the 1800's, but if anyone can get me any iformation on this place, I would appreciate it.
Thank You,
Jackie

| I am dutch and live in Denmark for over a year now, the only thing i know is that Myrtue means anthill and gaard is being used to refer to or a very large farm or castle. There is however a very small place that goes by the name of Myrtue. It is very, very small but it can well be that this used to be a large farm or castle with a few workerhomes. Myrtue lies in the south of Denmark, about 20km above Esbjerg at the westcoast. It is lying besides a fjord that's calles Ho Bugt. Maybe you can check the turistagency of Esbjerg, i am sure that they have more information about the history of this place. Good luck!
