Bush Proposes Gay Marriage Ban Exception
WASHINGTON, DC (IWR News Parody) President Bush today proposed an exception to the ban on gay marriage favored by morally superior conservative Republicans like Bill Bennett and Rush Limbaugh. "After having been smitten by my burning desire for a cute young man from Canada, Scott Reid, I think we should now make an exception to any future amendment banning gay marriage. I hereby propose that a passionate love between a wealthy older queen like myself or J. Edgar Hoover and a young stud should be able to be consummated under the law. Senator Santorum, the Senate expert on bestiality, tells me there was already a precedent in ancient Greece for this sort of relationship, and it was considered quite normal back then. Santorum also says that Greece was the first democracy, it's funny the things you learn when you fall in love. Thank you and many hugs and kisses to Scotty Boy," said President Bush. |

Follow the money. There's got to be some kind of story here that a few good investigative bloggers can dig up. How does a guy lacking serious journalism credentials get access to top secret documents. How does this guy get access to the President and his press secretary? I hate to suggest this but could there be some kind of sexual relationship? I mean this Gannon guy was prostituting himself all over the DC area on the Internet. Maybe we need to see who gave Gannon the white house press pass and see if maybe there is a relationship. |

I agree. One of the things I like most about Bush is his sincerity in meeting the public. He takes more time to meet crowds than most recent Presidents. ANd he also really seems to focus on meeting children. But then again, so did Kerry . . . |

I am convinced that Bush is one of the most liberal, and best Presidents of all time. I am convinced that by 2020 another "liberal" candidate will be invoking his name, and claiming that they stood with him against tyranny. All of the politics will be forgotten in a year or two and fifty million free people will become two hundred million, and the world we hand to our children will be far better than the one we grew up in. That is what is important. During the last five years it has been Regan redux. He’s an idiot. He’s ridged. He’s a warmonger who is going to blow up the world. He’s out of touch. Etc. These are the same things I grew up hearing, and Regan seemed as oblivious to it all as Bush is. Politics is politics. Most of the time it is venial and cheap, but sometimes it is terribly funny. You guys are killing me! That is the funniest thing I have seen in quite a while. Thank you. |

The neocons are panicing over the shame brought about by their brainless misleader, who recently had his perverted fetish outed. Mad George Bush-it prefers bald men. Since his favorite bald headed gay Republican male prostitute and fake journalist, Jeff Gannon has been evicted out of the White House, I guess Bush-it will have to go back to dick cheneying dick Cheney's head! |

Bush's Evangelical Base Will Be Shocked BUSH'S BOYFRIEND Forget the Smear Against John Kerry Victor Ashe Victor H. Ashe was the Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee from 1988 to January, 2004. Ashe was a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Executive Committee and a past President of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Mr. Ashe has been a Fannie Mae director since 2001. He was appointed by George W. Bush. In 1984, then-Democratic Rep. Albert Gore triumphed in the key race for the Tennessee Senate seat of retiring Senate Republican leader Howard Baker, defeating Republican Victor Ashe. Skull and Bones initiation antics: ....Then the potential candidates perform sexual ceremonies even with some homosexual overtones. Later, they "lay naked in coffins and tell their deepest and darkest sexual secrets as part of their initiation." (Esquire Magazine, “The Last Secret of Skulls and Bones, “Ron Rosenbaum, p. 85) The coffin is full of manure and this takes place in a place called “The Tomb” [a window-less building at Yale] within the Skull and Bones Crypt. In the Tomb, their whole sex life and other deep, personal details are completely revealed with shockingly new members engage in homosexual acts while they lay in a coffin. George W. Bush admitted his affinity to the Skulls and Bones in Time Magazine. Bush on Meet the Press: RUSSERT: You were both in Skull & Bones, the secret society. BUSH: It so secret we can't talk about it. RUSSERT: What does that mean for America? The conspiracy theorists are going to go wild. BUSH: I'm sure they are. I don't know. I haven't seen the Web pages yet. RUSSERT: Number 322? It’s known by many sources that George W. Bush in 1968 [when he was tapped into the Skulls and Bones] was performing homosexual acts with his male sex-mate and Yale roommate Mayor Ashe of Knoxville, TN. While mayor, Ashe made several unscheduled visits to the White House and, according to US Secret Service sources, Bush made at least 8 unscheduled and unannounced trips to Knoxville while he has been President. Ashe is suspected of two arrests. One was in Washington DC and the other was in Atlanta, while he was a Tennessee state legislator. They allegedly involved arrests while he was picking up male tranvestite prostitutes in public restrooms. Ashe was allegedly introduced on live TV as "The gay mayor from Knoxville" at a national mayor's conference in San Francisco. Mayor Ashe also refused to change Knoxville's Gay Street's name to something less, er...., gay. [Of note: Beginning on August 16, 2003, with the murder of Washington, DC transsexual Bella Evangelista, the city was plagued by a series of murders of transvestites and transgendered persons. The murders primarily occurred in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. Victor Ashe was reportedly arrested in an Adams Morgan bar's men's room]. As for Matt Drudge, who has decided to work with Karl Rove to smear John Kerry with tripe about an "intern," this speaks volumes: A book by Jeannette Walls's has an interview in it with a purported former Drudge boyfriend, David Cohen, who recalls that Drudge once hung out with a gay group and "loved to do wild, provocative things to draw attention to himself." A "perturbed" Drudge tells Brett Sokol of the Miami New Times: "I go to bars. I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars. [Walls] never said there was sex; she said there was dating. She never had enough to go that far." And as far as K. "Edgar" Rove is concerned: "Washington is awash with stories of Rove's Hooveresque off-hours antics (as in J. Edgar Hoover)." also: "anti-tax activist Grover Norquist is a close advisor to President Bush and Karl Rove. Norquist is a supporter of the Republican Unity Coalition, an ad hoc gay group that supports George W. Bush. Grover Norquist’s best friend is Karl Rove." http://dc.indymedia.org/newswire/display_printable/90844/index.php Last edited on Thu Feb 17th, 2005 05:01 pm by KeepOurFreedoms |

http://bobsfridge.com/skew05_217.htm Talon News Names Richard Simmons White House Correspondent ![]() Talon News, the fair and balanced, totally independent web site, announced the hiring of fitness guru Richard Simmons as their new White House correspondent. Simmons will use the alias “Dirk Diggler.” He replaces recently departed correspondent Jeff Gannon. Though Simmons lacks any experience as a journalist, he claims that he has on occasion watched FOX news. Simmons said he is thrilled to be coming to Washington and getting the opportunity to fawn over the president. “There won’t be any sweatin to the oldies when I ask press secretary Scott McClellan a question. He’ll know he can count on me,” Simmons said from his home in Los Angeles. The White House press office denied that Simmons will receive special treatment though a spokesmen did concede that they granted his request for access to the president’s gym for several hours a day so he can remain in shape. McClellan intends to use the alias of Dirk Diggler when calling upon Simmons for questions. |

Talon News ace reporter James J.D. Guckert AKA Jeff Gannon regularly obtained high White House security clearance and actually sat just a few feet away from President George W. Bush and other high ranking officials, just by flashing this ID card. In most cases, obtaining such access by a journalist takes years of journalism school, tons of work in the field while moving up the ladder to become White House correspondent....Jeff did it with hard work in just two days with a $50 journalist course he signed up for from the cover of a book of matches. You have misquoted me to make it appear as if I make fun of someone just because they are gay, which is untrue. Your first sentence was, " you stated this post was to make fun of a gay person". That's pretty pathetic for a teacher to make such a terrible mistake, so I have to assume you misquoted me intentionally, which makes you dishonest, which makes you a liar, and a hypocrite towards gays! My quote and your dishonest misquote have two completely different meanings. What I can't understand is why you would first misquote me and then stupidly post my quote right after your misquote. You allowed everyone to see your intentional attempt to smear me. Maybe you are just a chimp brain like Buzzy. The smear is all over you! I actually said, "Just because I criticize and make fun of a man who is gay, does not mean I am being anti-gay. Nowhere on this thread is there an anti-gay or homophobic comment made by me or any other Liberal." I also said, "...it is you stupid neocons who want to deny equal rights to gays, while we Liberals are fighting for their rights. So don't give me your hypocritical Bush-it." The whole point of this thread is to bring attention to the hypocrisy in the Bush-it administration and their homophobic, anti-gay positions. They bring this criticism on themselves. They embrace (literally) gays in private, yet in public they do everything in their power to persecute gays, demonize gays and take away the Constitutional rights of gays. We Liberals have quite the opposite attitude towards gays and are fighting to allow gays to have the same rights as everyone else, including domestic partnership rights. You stupid, homophobic neocons only want to bring back an earlier repressive time from our past that needs to remain in the past. Oh and remember, Bush-it (hypocritical, homophobic gay basher) has a fetish for bald men, like dick Cheneyer, as the evidence proves in the photographs within this thread. |

So tell us again, what did he do wrong? So far it sounds like he is a "fake journalist", when, in fact, he was a real journalist. But since when is this a crime? Has anyone brought charges? What has he done? This smacks of lynch mob mentality, maybe to get even for Eason Jordan, who was obviously a big mouthed idiot, or maybe even for Dan Blather. I just can't see where he's done anything wrong, and it appears like the lunatic left has destroyed his life, and tell me again, what did he do? It's not clear to anyone. I don't think you can destroy a guys life for nothing, unless of course, you're the lunatic fringe left. How can he be a fake journalist and still "feed stories"? Sounds like a real journalist to me, about the same as Daily Kos, except more accurate. |

Same with Dan Rather and any other name you want to bring into it. Gannon destroyed his own life by being a fake and taking payola from the Bush-it administration to publicize propaganda. Not being qualified to have a permanent press pass is proof enough that he was a fake. Asking his fake questions during press meeting is further proof. Also being a gay Republican male prostitute, just makes the situation worse both for Gannon and for the White House! The upcoming Congressional investigations will straighten out this whole Gannongate payola mess. Unfortunately, from what is already known, it will be to the detriment of Gannon and to the White House. The Bush-it administration is finished. |

It just looks like America is really acting pragmatic when it comes to homosexuality on the one hand, and sometimes just uterly hostile. There seems to be much more of an emphasis on the word "gay", "fa*", "queer" to be used as an insult than it is back here (but that could be my personal biased interpretation). |

single post on the controversy, which explained why we don’t think there is any story there. The claims against Gannon are: 1) He isn’t a “real” journalist. News for the left: you don’t have to take a test. He was working as a reporter until you drove him out of the business. 2) He was a Bush administration plant. There is, of course, no evidence for this whatsoever. And don’t you think that if the administration decided to “plant” a journalist to ask friendly questions, they could come up with someone with a bit more distinguished pedigree? The real issue here is that Democrats believe that Democratic press secretaries should be asked friendly questions, and Republican press secretaries should be asked unfriendly questions. 3) He had something–God knows what–to do with the Valerie Plame story. Again, no one has ventured a coherent explanation of this theory, let alone bothered to hint at what the evidence for it might be. Given that Ms. Plame was last seen posing for Vanity Fair in a “spy” outfit, I don’t think we’re on the trail of an espionage breakthrough here. And wasn’t it supposed to be Karl Rove who tipped off Bob Novak? The bottom line is that there isn’t any story here, other than the bottomless depravity of liberals in America. How any of their purported “grievances” against Gannon justifies posting nude photos of him is inexplicable. Yesterday I filmed a “Reliable Sources” segment with Howard Kurtz that will air on CNN tomorrow morning. One of the other guests was the above-mentioned Mr. Aravosis. He is obviously a man for whom the concept of shame has no meaning; I was embarrassed to be on the same program with him. Today, Kurtz writes about the Gannon affair in the Washington Post. Kurtz got an interview with Gannon, who has been keeping out of sight since he was driven out of journalism by the left. Gannon turns out to be pretty eloquent: Jeff Gannon, the former White House reporter whose naked pictures have appeared on a number of gay escort sites, says that he has “regrets” about his past but that White House officials knew nothing about his salacious activities. Aravosis is quoted, too, and he makes no sense: John Aravosis, a gay activist who posted the pictures of Gannon on his Americablog.org, said the issue is not Gannon’s right to be a journalist but his “White House access. . . . The White House wouldn’t let him in the door right now, knowing of his background.” That is really one of the stupidest things I’ve read in a long time. Just try to parse Aravosis’s logic: The issue is Gannon’s White House access. But why is that an issue? There was nothing special about Gannon’s access, he got it the same way as everyone else. His “access” is an issue, according to Aravosis, because “the White House wouldn’t let him in the door right now, knowing of his background.” Huh? That is one of the most stunning non sequiturs ever. First of all, what is the evidence for the proposition that the White House would deny access to a reporter who was once a gay escort? The proposition is absurd on its face; it wasn’t the White House that drove Gannon out of his job, it was Aravosis and his friends. Second, even if that claim were true, so what?? How on earth would the White House’s attitude twoard gay escorts justify Aravosis in posting nude pictures of Gannon? Aravosis claims further that Gannon is guilty of “hypocrisy,” an all-purpose charge that generally turns out to mean little or nothing. The “hypocrisy” in this case supposedly arises from “asking the gay community to protect him when he attacks us.” This is another stunningly stupid statement. Every word in it is false. Gannon, first of all, never attacked the gay community; the gay community, in the person of Aravosis and others, attacked him. Neither did Gannon ask the gay community to protect him; Aravosis just made that up. On the contrary, the only reason Gannon needed protection is because he came under a vicious, unprovoked, personal attack from low-lifes with web sites, pre-eminently Aravosis, Kos and Atrios. There is, I guess, a story here. But it has nothing to do with Jeff Gannon, a poor guy who thought he could put his past behind him and pursue a career as a reporter. No, the story has to do with the depth to which the Democratic Party and the American left have fallen. Desperate to change the subject in the wake of the Eason Jordan debacle, they seized on poor Mr. Gannon, made silly, baseless accusations against him, denounced him for being a homosexual, and, in the ultimate indignity, tracked down and published nude photographs of him. All to distract attention from Jordan, and to punish Mr. Gannon for the “sin” of being a Republican. Rarely have I seen such deeply contemptible conduct. |

I just want them to leave the institution of marriage alone. That is exactly how I feel. Marriage has been getting shellacked for about forty years. We consciously sacrificed allot of the institution for the sake of equality, and a higher measure of justice. I'm totally on board with that. Modern marriage has its problems, but we bought a whole world for females that they didn't have before. That there is a price to be paid for social reform is something "progressives" will not admit, but there it is. I do not see what destroying the definition of marriage itself, for a tiny minority of people who do not care what the impacts will be, will buy us. My girlfriend is constantly telling me that people we meet are gay. I told her that I do not even understand why it matters, and I don't even think about it. People are people, and the odds of me sleeping with anyone other than her are nil. The only ones I can't stand and don't want to be around are people obsessed with sex, gay or straight. They are simply ignorant boors, and have no sense of decorum or manners. |

OH, BUT THERE IS A STORY. STOP LYING AND DENYING THE TRUTH! WE WILL NOT LET YOU DISTORT THE FACTS AND COVER UP FOR THE IMMORAL BUSH-IT ADMINISTRATION! by Jamison FoserWeek ending February 18, 2005 http://www.mediamatters.org action@mediamatters.org Quote of the Week: This week: may have made his own fake White House press pass ... but that information raises more questions than it answers. Below is a rundown of recent developments about the man known as "Jeff Gannon" but really named James Guckert: A simple solution: Media Matters for America President and CEO David Brock wrote to White House press secretary Scott McClellan and the White House Correspondents' Association, suggesting one simple step that would help lessen the likelihood of another Gannon situation arising: A simple solution, part two: Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz complained on the February 17 edition of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360: "I didn't go into journalism, frankly, to be looking at websites like hotmilitarystud.com." There are other options. At MediaMatters.org, we have detailed Gannon's tendency to reprint White House talking points verbatim without identifying their source, and explained that Talon News -- which Kurtz has described as a "straight news site" -- is nothing more than a portal to GOPUSA.com. Perhaps Kurtz has spent too much time at Hotmilitarystud.com --and not enough time reading Editor & Publisher, Salon.com, MediaMatters.org, or the comments of his Post colleagues Dana Milbank and Dan Froomkin. That would explain why Kurtz hasn't written about those details, or many of our other critiques of Gannon and GOPUSA -- critiques which are not based on Gannon's apparent extracurricular activities. But did he know before Colin Powell? AmericaBlog's John Aravosis wrote "A news producer for a major network just told me that Gannon told the producer the US was going to attack Iraq four hours before President Bush announced it to the nation." While it would ordinarily be surprising if a fake reporter using a fake name was given advance notice of such a major military action, it isn't completely unbelievable, given the way the Bush administration made the attack known: Prince Bandar bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia was reportedly told of the plans before then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, for example. Who invited Gannon to White House Christmas parties? According to Editor & Publisher: So how did Jeff Gannon get into these parties? Who invited him? What role did McClellan and his staff play in handing out invitations? McClellan told The New York Times: "The credentialing is all handled at the staff assistant level." Is that true of invitations to White House parties as well? How, exactly, did Texas Republican activist Bobby Eberle come to hire auto repairman "Jeff Gannon" to work at Talon News? According to E&P, Gannon/Guckert "said he came across Talon News while researching and liked its approach. The Texas Republican activist who runs it also manages the site GOPUSA. 'I had submitted my writings to Talon and saw they were looking for people to write news, and it was something I was interested in. I moved to Washington after Sept. 11, 2001, because I was so affected by [the attacks].' Guckert said he first went to work for Talon News in February 2003 after writing several test stories for them, becoming a stringer at first and later a full-time salaried reporter." But the blog World O' Crap noted: Answer: Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd: New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd pointed out that not everyone has found it as easy to get into press briefings as Mr. Gannon did: Gannon attended White House press briefings before Talon even existed? According to Salon: On February 18, Editor & Publisher reported: Was Talon created to address Fleischer's concerns? Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer told Editor & Publisher that he "was so concerned about Talon News reporter James Guckert's potential ties to the Republican Party that he stopped calling on him at press briefings for about a week in 2003. 'I found out that he worked for a GOP site, and I didn't think it was my place to call on him because he worked for something that was related to the party,' Fleischer said in a phone interview. 'He had the editor call me and made the case that they were not related to the Republican Party. He said they used the GOP name for marketing purposes only.'" It isn't clear when Fleischer raised his concerns about Gannon, but given that Gannon apparently attended White House press briefings before Talon even existed, and given that Fleischer had concerns about calling on someone from "GOPUSA," was Talon created specifically to give cover to Fleischer? Even if Talon wasn't created in response to Fleischer's concerns, it still seems to have been created after Gannon began attending briefings; was it created in anticipation of such concerns? That might explain why, as Media Matters has noted, Talon is nothing more than a portal to GOPUSA: noted that Gannon fit into the "growing scandal surrounding conservatives' use of fake 'news' reports, secret government propaganda, and payola to conservative commentators." That pattern is the real significance of the Gannon story, and what more reporters should focus on, rather than the salacious details of Gannon's side businesses. Fortunately, an increasing number of journalists are doing just that. New York Times columnist Frank Rich noted: The Christian Science Monitor likewise tied the Gannon matter in with other examples of White House manipulation of the media: The Monitor went on to note an historical parallel to the current White House's treatment of the media: Meanwhile, Armstrong Williams, the conservative commentator who took nearly a quarter of a million dollars to promote Bush administration policies he had previously criticized, attended a Howard University forum where he addressed the controversy: Reuters: While it isn't clear who is paying for Limbaugh's trip, or if he is being paid for his time, the comments by the "U.S. official" certainly suggest the Bush administration is using Limbaugh to promote its agenda. Limbaugh -- who said in April 2004 that women "actually wish" to be sexually harassed, said in March 2004 that "[a] Chavez is a Chavez. We've always had problems with them," claimed last year that "John Kerry really doesn't think 3,000 Americans dead in one day is that big a deal," and asserted that the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. military personnel at Abu Ghraib was no worse than a fraternity prank -- is a close ally of the Bush White House. So close, in fact, that he "got a big hug from the president" at a White House Christmas party. pointed out the distortion, leading Al Franken to call on Hume to resign, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann to describe Hume's actions as "premeditated, historical fraud," and FDR grandson (and former Social Security commissioner) James Roosevelt Jr. to say Hume's "outrageous distortion ... calls for a retraction, an apology, maybe even a resignation." But while even some conservatives who originally touted Hume's "scoop" have now acknowledged that Hume's characterization of FDR is incorrect, Hume still hasn't issued a retraction, or an apology, and he still has his job. scheduled to present the Swifties with the American Conservative Union's "Courage Under Fire Award" at the Conservative Political Action Conference. I say what I mean. The institution of marriage is defined as the union of one man and one woman for the specific purpose of raising a family. The male figure and the female figure both provide specific role models for their children. It's that simple. I have gay friends as well and they support marriage remaining between a man and a woman. They just don't want to be looked down upon by heteros as being inferior and I don't blame them. There, that's all I wanted to say. I just want them to leave the institution of marriage alone. All the controversy around gay marriage: is it not because there is so much of a deal made about it? Marriage within many Western countries is not solely a religious concept anymore; it is (even more) a social standard to reinforce one's love to each other. The entire wedding ritual, the nice clothes, the crying mothers; it's all part of how important marriage is of defying a love bond between two people (and two families). Do gay people feel less of this connection than straight people do? I understand that social reform does not only have its positive sides, but also its negative sides. Even the emancipation of women had (has) its negative sides (not that I think it should not have happened though, no, I can only encourage women to emancipate even further). But what negative sides does gay marriage as a social reform of the institution called marriage really have? Some years ago, gay marriage was introduced in the Netherlands. So far, the introduction of it back here hasn't caused much social unrest, or a breakdown on the institution of marriage (for what I've experienced). It could have happened, of course. And you may also claim that the Netherlands is not the same as the United States, where - as I already claimed in a previous post - the entire subject of "homosexuality" is far more of an issue than it is back here. But it's not a rule. Something to much taken for granted in the US, as it seems, as well as in many other Western countries. Last edited on Sun Feb 20th, 2005 07:29 pm by Dutch |

Check this out! Fake reporter Jeff Gannon (fake name) is having a hissy fit (real emotion)! He wants to sue everybody, and I mean everybody for telling the truth about him! I guess his self inflicted 15 minutes of shame are not yet over! The gay Republican male prostitute (real job) masochist still wants more. This is from Newsweek. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050220/nysu012_1.html Jeff Gannon is considering suing liberal interest groups, bloggers and others for a "political assassination" that drove him from his job as a reporter for a conservative news outfit called Talon News, he told NEWSWEEK. Gannon, whose real name is James Guckert, singled out Media Matters -- a "well-funded" liberal group headed by longtime "attack dog" David Brock. ("Everything we wrote about him came from the public record," Brock replied.) It remains unclear how Gannon got routine White House press access for nearly two years; he acknowledged he first began getting clearance to White House press briefings in early 2003 as a representative of GOPUSA, a group headed by Texas GOP activist Bobby Eberle-months before Eberle even created Talon News. Michael Isikoff and Holly Bailey Hey Jeff (fake name), bring it on (real challenge)! Last edited on Mon Feb 21st, 2005 03:24 am by Moral Democratic Majority |

One thing that I find ironic is that this (sp?) Scott Mclellan, when questioned, was asked if Jeff Gannon was the name used to get into the white house. He said no. Strangley, if you look at any of those press releases, Bush & Mclellan refer to him as jeff when calling on him for questions. I guess we'll see if these 'allegations' are true after the investigation is over. This whole Gannon saga may be the key to bringing the rove machine down (i hope) |

Karl Rove told us to "use gays" in that letter that all Registered Republicans get before elections. He also told us to make sure that we "divide the country". And after the election, he said, make sure you defend their rights whenever possible. What is wrong with all you wingnuts? It's your trash. Your party is wacked. Don't blame it on us. Democracy For America drives home, so to speak, my point: http://blogforamerica.com/ Tuesday, February 22, 2005 STOP DISHONEST, BIGOTED ATTACKS: SIGN THE PETITION You won't be surprised to hear who they hired to publicize their efforts: the same team of hatchet men that ran the swift boat smear campaign against John Kerry. Now they are targeting the AARP, a group that millions of seniors rely on to defend their interests. We must stop these people... now. Sign our petition to stop these dishonest, bigoted attacks from spreading any further: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/StopUSANext Your petition will be delivered to every TV station that aired the swift boat ads during the 2004 campaign and any station that airs this new garbage in 2005. Stations were duped once by this group making false claims -- we can't let it happen again. If TV stations give USA Next a platform, they will be abetting the same kind of disgraceful slander as the swift boat ads. We know now that a Bush-Cheney campaign official advised the swift boat group. And USA Next has worked closely with the Bush White House in the past. Now newspaper reports suggest the group is giving President Bush cover -- the New York Times quoted one USA Next source saying that its campaign would be so aggressively negative that the White House can't be seen to be a part of it. I wasn't sure how low they'd go until I saw the above graphic. I was shocked. Insinuations that the AARP are "communist" on their web site are ridiculous, but USA Next's advertising campaign manages to be both un-patriotic and outrageously bigoted at the same time. It's time to sign the petition to stop the hate speech now: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/StopUSANext Mainstream America knows that Social Security is the cornerstone of our social safety net. This Democratic achievement cured an epidemic of poverty and guarantees a retirement with dignity for everyone. But fringe ideologues and powerful corporate interests want to end all that -- and they are willing to do anything to win. The pharmaceutical industry has used USA Next as a soft-money slush fund for years. And the group is run by a well-known operative from the radical right. They have committed to spending millions on propaganda and hate-speech to distort the facts and smear their opponents. Let's draw the line in the sand now: http://www.democracyforamerica.com/StopUSANext Thank you, Tom Hughes Executive Director Democracy for America Posted by Tom Hughes at 03:37 PM |

MDM, your initial post is this: "WASHINGTON (IWR Parody News) - A shocking photograph of President Bush massaging former male hooker (and White House Reporter) Jeff Gannon's scalp turned up on several liberal blogs today. The Whitehouse immediately denied that Mr. Bush is a flaming, godless homosexual. "The President just likes to rub bald heads and often when he's on the road alone he hires bald male escorts just so he can rub their heads for good luck," said Scott McClellan. " This, MDM is your post. Look deeper all you want, but you posted a bash session on your president. If you wanted to post something about hypocracy, you had plenty of space to do it in. You, my friend, are changing the point. There is nothing in this inital post than insults your duly-elected president. I got this in an email this morning from DCCC.org Stop the Propaganda Ed. Note: This message was just sent out to all of our supporters from Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (NY-28), Ranking Member on the Committee on Rules. Dear Friend, For any other White House, the fact that a partisan operative managed to masquerade as a reporter in the White House press corps might be taken as a slip. But this is no ordinary White House, and in fact, this was no ordinary partisan operative. It has now become clear that the reporter for Talon News known as "Jeff Gannon" was actually James D. Guckert, an individual who had no journalistic credentials whatsoever.Sign the Petition to Stop the Propaganda. During the February 10 White House briefing, Press Secretary Scott McClellan stated that Jeff Gannon, "...like anyone else, showed that he was representing a news organization that published regularly" in order to receive his day pass to press briefings. It has now been confirmed that Jeff Gannon was in the White House briefing room, actively participating in these briefings, as early as February 28, 2003 a full month before Talon News even existed. For almost two years Gannon breezed through security and was allowed to lob softball questions to spokesman Scott McClellan and even President Bush himself - culminating in an absurd and factually inaccurate question to the President on national television about how he could deal with Senate Democrats "who seem to have divorced themselves from reality." Wait, there's more. We've also learned that in December of 2003, Gannon bragged to Talon News that he'd had access to classified documents revealing the identity of former Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife as a covert operative for the CIA. At the time Gannon said, "For something that is supposed to be classified, it seems that this document is easily accessible." He added, "Washington is leaking like a cheap umbrella." Talon News, the "news outlet" that Mr. Guckert worked for was at best a front for a Republican activist website called GOPUSA.com owned by a Texas Republican. Worse yet, Gannon's news "stories" consisted mostly of verbatim Republican press releases and claims that John Kerry "might someday be known as 'the first gay president.'" It has been well over a week since I wrote President Bush seeking answers in this matter. I have not yet received a reply. Along with Rep. John Conyers, I have also submitted a Freedom of Information Act request for all DHS records regarding Mr. Guckert's admittance into the White House. With each new revelation it becomes more and more clear that the relationship between the White House and Jeff Gannon was anything but typical. It is time for this Administration to stop the stonewalling and come clean with the American people. I have worked on media fairness and reform throughout my stay in the House, and never have I seen such an open assault on the standards of a free press as I have in the past four years. We have seen several right wing pundits who were being paid with tax dollars to promote Administration policies with no disclosure. We have seen fake news reports distributed to media outlets with no indication of their origin; we have seen those fake segments deemed "illegal covert propaganda" by the General Accounting Office; and then we have seen the White House simply continue on with the technique completely unphased. We now know that prior to the war in Iraq, Iraqi exiles with checkered pasts, allied with (and paid by) the White House distributed bogus intelligence on WMD to produce perhaps more than 100 newspaper articles hyping the case for war! Even now President Bush flies around the country at taxpayer expense holding televised "town hall discussions" on Social Security in which nobody who does not support him is allowed in. This must stop, and it must stop now. This sort of manipulation of the free press - one of most pivotal checks & balances in our Constitution - demonstrates a contempt for democracy, the rule of law, and the great people of this nation, many of whom trust this president with all their hearts. I ask you to stand with me - and the DCCC - in demanding an end to the propaganda. Please sign our petition: http://www.democraticaction.org/propaganda/index.php?source=feb22home Sincerely, ![]() Rep. Louise M. More on the hypocrisy of the Bush-it Gannongate Affair: http://www.workingforchange.com/article.cfm?ItemID=18628 Hypocritical Christian right mum on Gannon Affair Why have the 'traditional family values' folks erected a wall of silence around the Gannon scandal? They were livid over SpongeBob Square Pants' participation in a video advocating tolerance, and fuming about Buster the Bunny's visit to a lesbian household. So where's the outrage from the Christian right over the Jeff Gannon Affair? Despite a chunk of time having passed since the Gannon Affair was first uncovered, Christian right organizations are still cloaked in silence. As of February 24, there wasn't any news about the Gannon Affair available on the Web sites of Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, the American Family Association, or the Traditional Values Coalition. As best as I could determine, no special alerts about the Gannon Affair have been issued; and no campaigns have been launched to get to the bottom of the matter. Curious about this wall of silence, I phoned several Christian right groups on Tuesday, February 22, hoping to find someone who could comment on the Gannon Affair. This is what I found: That was then... While waiting for callbacks, my minds eye drifted back to the Clinton White House. Tim Bannon, a liberal activist, had made his way into a presidential press conference; Bannon had been attending press briefings for nearly two years, under the name Slim Cannon. No one seemed knew much about FallOnNews.com, the Internet news service he worked with, but many suspected it was a front group for the Democrats. Clinton had been taking a well-publicized beating over the Monica Lewinsky Affair. At the president's first press conference in quite some time, he called on Cannon, who asked the following question: "Mr. President, given revelations about House Speaker Newt Gingrich's serial affairs and the abandonment of his wife when she had cancer, and given that Congressman Bob Livingston has a similar record of perfidious peccadilloes, and given stories about the sexual shenanigans of a host of televangelists including Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart, could you please comment on whether the right wing media, isn't selectively focusing on the Lewinsky Affair, and doesn't want to deal with sexual scandals in its own backyard?" Less than twenty-four hours later, a host of right wing Web sites -- suspicious that Cannon may have been planted by the White House -- discovered that Slim Cannon's cannon was prominently featured on a number of gay porn sites, and that in his off hours he may have been a gay "escort." Intrepid researchers find out that Cannon had been privy to secret documents before any other duly accredited White House reporters. "Clinton's gay consort" became the right's theme for the next several months. Reality-based fans will recognize that the above scenario never happened. If a Tim Bannon, as Slim Cannon, had insinuated himself into the White House on President Clinton's watch, and lobbed softball question after softball question, all hell would have broken loose. Right wing media, and the pulpits and newsletters of fundamentalist Christians, would have been ranting and raving: "Where's the outrage?" Bob Dole's mantra from his failed 1996 presidential campaign might actually have finally resonated. The mainstream media would have no doubt jumped on board. This is now... What has actually happened bears some resemblance to our fictitious scenario. The major difference is that the scandal involving Jeff Gannon, whose real name is James D. Guckert, is happening on President George W. Bush's watch. The vituperative voices of the right are quiet and their voracious appetites for sex, slime and salacious details about Democratic dalliances have disappeared since it's a GOP scandal. On the heels of the payola scandal involving Bush Administration payoffs to Armstrong Williams, Maggie Gallagher and McManus -- a loose coalition of the shilling -- along comes the Gannon/Guckert affair. James D. Guckert, as Gannon, represented a conservative news site called Talon News. Somehow, within a short time of his entering "journalism," Gannon was able to get credentialed and attend numerous White House briefings and lob softballs at White House officials. According to DemocraticUnderground.com, "Gannon was actually in the White House as early as February 28, 2003 -- a month before Talon News even existed. Gannon also got called on by President Bush at one of his rare news conferences. Gannon ended his question with "How are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?" referring to Senator Hillary Clinton and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid. Details of the Gannon/Guckert affair are still being uncovered. Thanks to the blogosphere and largely through the efforts of Media Matters for America and John Aravosis' Americablog we are learning more than we ever wanted to know about someone we rather no little about. These blogs, and a handful of other enterprising bloggers, blew the lid off Gannon's shameful charade. Beneath the lid was James D. Guckert in pre-fig leaf Garden of Eden splendor: As a contributor to such sites as Hotmilitarystud.com, Workingboys.net, Militaryescorts.com, MilitaryescortsM4M.com and Meetlocalmen.com, Gannon's cannon is on full display. "'Jeff' has now quit Talon News," writes Frank Rich in the February 20 edition of the New York Times, "not because he and it have been exposed as fakes but because of other embarrassing blogosphere revelations linking him to sites like hotmilitarystud.com and to an apparently promising career as an X-rated $200-per-hour "escort." (For more on all of this including links to some of Gannon/Guckert's Web sites, see Americablog.) There are innumerable aspects of the Gannon/Guckert Affair that should keep curious mainstream reporters busy for quite some time: how did Gannon/Guckert get into all those White House press briefings and the President's press conference?; Was he on the payroll of Team Bush?; Did he play a role revealing Valerie Plame's CIA employment? -- the investigation is ongoing; how did he get by with being a phony right wing reporter by day and a gay prostitute by night? A few weeks back, Buzzflash.com editorialized: "The Gannon story touches upon everything from manufactured news to manufactured 'reporters' to the Valerie Plame affair to websites that have a connection to the White House, but appear independent, to a Bush Cartel hypocrisy about gays, to payola, to scripted Bush news conferences, to who knows what. This is a BIG media story that should be on the cover of the New York Times and Post." Unable to speak with representatives from Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council and the Traditional Values Coalition, I turned to Joe Conn of American United for Separation of Church and State and John Aravosis, the creator of Americablog. In a telephone interview, Conn said he wasn't surprised that there hasn't been any response from Christian right organizations because "The religious right is pretty much a team player when it comes to the Bush Administration. Unless it's an issue like same-sex marriage -- a core issue of their agenda -- they will give the president a pass." "Clearly this is an example of the religious right's hypocrisy," Conn point out. "If it was Bill Clinton they would be in total uproar." Via e-mail, I asked Aravosis why he thought the Christian right was being silent about the Gannon Affair. "Because they're hypocrites," he wrote in an e-mail. "They know this scandal is hurting Bush and they put politics ahead of their God. That's how petty and un-Christian they are." "Am I correct in thinking that they certainly would have responded to a similar situation if Bill Clinton was still president?," I asked. Aravosis responded with tongue firmly implanted in cheek: "Do you think the religious right would care if Bill Clinton welcomed a gay hooker to the White House, and then slipped him classified intelligence information? Let me think about that one." For more please see the Bill Berkowitz archive. Bill Berkowitz is a longtime observer of the conservative movement. The last post I made featuring Rep. Louise M. Slaughter's argument alone is enough to prove the White House intentionally works with fake reporters with shady backgrounds. I see the problem here. You can't tell the difference between 'proof" and an "allegation". Let me explain. "Proof" of something beyond a reasonable doubt requires strong direct evidence or a lot of circumstantial evidence. An "allegation" requires neither. So far, all I've seen from you are allegations or quotes from someone else's allegations. You have yet to submit any "proof". |

During the Bush I administration, back in 1989, it was exposed that late night, exclusive White House tours were given to a gay prostitution ring that offered adolescent boys up to powerful Washington DC clients. This link gives fotos of actual newspaper articles from the time: http://iapprovethismessiah.com/2005/02/day-washington-times-went-after.html Also see: http://iapprovethismessiah.com/2005/02/day-washington-times-went-after.html Amazingly, the story was quickly buried. Mainstream news organizations mostly refused to follow up on it. Why does this matter? So in the end, why does this matter? Why does it matter that Jeff Gannon may have been a gay hooker named James Guckert with a $20,000 defaulted court judgment against him? So he somehow got a job lobbing softball questions to the White House. Big deal. If he was already a prostitute, why not be one in the White House briefing room as well? This is the Conservative Republican Bush White House we're talking about. It's looking increasingly like they made a decision to allow a hooker to ask the President of the United States questions. They made a decision to give a man with an alias and no journalistic experience access to the West Wing of the White House on a "daily basis." They reportedly made a decision to give him - one of only six - access to documents, or information in those documents, that exposed a clandestine CIA operative. Say what you will about Monika Lewinsky - a tasteless episode, "inappropriate," whatever. Monika wasn't a gay prostitute running around the West Wing. What kind of leadership would let prostitutes roam the halls of the West Wing? What kind of war-time leadership can't find the same information that took bloggers only days to find? None of this is by accident. Someone had to make a decision to let all this happen. Who? Someone committed a crime in exposing Valerie Plame and now it appears a gay hooker may be right in the middle of all of it? Who? Ultimately, it is the hypocrisy that is such a challenge to grasp in this story. This is the same White House that ran for office on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. While they are surrounded by gay hookers? While they use a gay hooker to write articles for their gay hating political base? While they use a gay hooker to destroy a political enemy? Not to mention the hypocrisy of a "reporter" who chooses to publish article after article defending the ant-gay religious-right point of view on gay civil rights issue. Who in the White House is at the center of all of this? Who allowed this to go on in the People's House? Who committed the crime of exposing Valerie Plame? Jeff Gannon has the answers to these questions, and boy we know he loves to talk. Let him talk to Patrick Fitzgerald. Last edited on Fri Feb 25th, 2005 10:18 pm by Is Jesus Or Satan The Liberal? |

And now, the winner of the Alternative Oscar...... Jeff Gannon Worst Actor In A Leading Role: Remember those websites that Jeff Gannon never owned and never hosted? Well he's selling them. Yes, militaryescorts.com and militaryescortsm4m.com are on the market for a mere $7,500 each, and the infamous hotmilitarystud.com is going for a cool $15,000. But as John Aravosis from AmericaBlog points out... how is it that a website that was never hosted gets around 47,000 unique visitors a month?
Oh Jeff, you little tease. You've been telling fibs again haven't you? Incidentally, Gannon's eponymous website came back online last week. If you're a connoisseur of conservative history-rewriting you should swing by and check it out. |

I thought this was interesting. Read the article or post that conservativeMajority wrote. Then notice Gannon's second reply to conservativeMajority's question. It seems like his lying conscience is speaking when he gives out info that wasn't asked. here is the question asked - Jeff- Does McClellan ever give an indication that he appreciates your questions saying the things he's not allowed to? Jeff responds- To: kevkrom Not at all. And we have no contact whatsoever outside the briefings. Now why would he give anything more than a yes or no Here is the site that Jeff/jim posted this at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1127559/posts |

It's trashy but I have been wondering about the massive amount of stuff that hints that Bush is homosexual. There seems to be some reason under the trash. Anyway, any one who has the line "Abort a liberal" is probably already untroubled by inconsistencies in the neo con line vs it's reality. Considering the attacks on homosexuals by those who support him, if Bush is a homosexual it's pretty inconsistent (that's not the word I want but I can't think of it at the moment, it means doing the opposite of what you preach). Actually, he may be blowing a chance. He might very well be the first homosexual President. |
