| No, Cozumel is a very conservative island. You may be able to find a remote spot on a beach on the east side of the island.

HUH? Of course there are. On the East shore. The burger joint that's right on road that cuts across the other side. They have a posted nude beach.
I don't remember the places name at the moment or what condition it's in now.
Edit: LOL yea and far as conservative. When the cruise ships pull in tons of guys head right to the red light district. There is a whole area of brothels and strip clubs.

That's right. It used to be called Mescalitos. Great joint! Bring binoculars. Just kidding.
I only know of one strip club/brothel on the road across the island. It was called, well it's too much like a resort name, like royal princess. Doesn't matter. all the cabbies know where it is.

The only natural beach at Cozumel, MX is the Sol Melia Paradisus Cozumel.
Located about 3 miles (KM 5.8) from the airport along the beach. The airport and golf course are on the northwest side of the island. It's a 5 star deluxe all inclusive resort. Has 150 rooms with ocean or garden view.

Question: What does "Au Natural" mean?
Answer: Naked! No clothing. Birthday suit. Or clothed the way you were born.
Question: What is the difference between a "Clothing Optional" beach and an "Au Natural"
beach?
Answer: "Clothing optional" beach means that you may choose to wear clothing or no clothing at all. An "Au Natural" beach means no clothing allowed. (Exception: females may wear a bottom when their "cycle" requires it.) Because most of the grounds at the resorts we offer are clothing required, it is common to wear clothing to the beach or lounge chair, then to disrobe while on the beach or pool area.
Question: Do you do everything nude at these resorts?
Answer: No! In fact, most areas of the resorts require that you be clothed. The only area where nudity is allowed includes: Nude Beach area including the nude pool, nude hot tub, and a limited area near these facilities. The rest of the resort including the lobby, dining areas, most sporting and activity areas etc. require that you are clothed! There are some exceptions to the above information: Please see the details for each resort on this website.
Question: Do people "stare" or "gawk" on a nude beach?
Answer: On a nude beach, it is not socially acceptable to stare at, gawk at, or make lewd remarks about others. You won't make friends if you do. People on a nude beach consider it immature if not downright rude to be a "gawker" or a "squaker"!
Question: Why do people go to a nude beach resort?
Answer: To be nude and on a warm beach is the most natural way to enjoy and experience the beautiful tropical islands and resorts that we offer. People go to have fun! Nude sunbathers respect each other's individual appearance, regardless of size, shape, age etc. Through this we can accept ourselves no matter what our appearance. Without clothing, we are just people. It's also "really neat" to be able to plan and enjoy a vacation where you will do something you couldn't or wouldn't normally do near your home or business
associates.
Question: What is it like the first time?
Answer: Most people are anywhere from somewhat apprehensive to very apprehensive about taking off their clothes in front of strangers the first time. Keep in mind that everyone else at the beach had the same feeling their first time. You will find that experienced nudist are most courteous of "first timers" and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We have been trained every day of our lives to put on clothing. We have done it every day of our lives. It's as natural to feel apprehensive the first time you take your clothes off as an adult, as it was natural to drop your clothes when you were a two year old. After doing it once, you will feel exhilarated with your ability to shed some inhibition. For many people, their new personal confidence strengthens when you go back to the clothing world. Taking off your clothing becomes easier and easier each time. If you want to be "cool" on a nude beach, just be nude. Join some of the activities ( like volleyball etc.) and let your true personality speak for who you are. People on a nude beach like each other for how they act, not how they are dressed. It's exciting, it's fun, it's a confidence builder, it's natural!
Suggestion for first timers. If you are not able to "just take you clothes off and give it a try", you may want to try one of these next two ways to break into nudism.
It's normal to walk to the nude beach or nude pool with your bathing suit on. Once there, go to a beach lounge, sit down then take off your clothes. You can lay there without having to walk past everyone. If going to a nude pool, with your bathing suit on, walk up to the edge of the pool (or even into the pool) with your suit on, and then take it off. Experienced nudist may recognize that it's your first time, but because they "understand", they will pay no attention!
Another method is to wait until evening, (possibly a drink or two wouldn't hurt), go to the nude pool or hot tub with your clothing on, strip at or near the edge of the pool or hot tub, and wade in. You will feel comfortable in a minute or two!
Question: What if I am too uncomfortable to take my clothes off, am I stuck in my room?
Answer: "No!", you are not stuck in your room. All of the resorts that we offer have at least two beaches, one nude and one with clothing. They all have their "Main pool" on the clothing side. All of the dining and entertainment areas are with clothing. All water sports and main bars, discos, piano bars, tennis etc are available on the clothing side of the property. In reality, you will still be going to a great tropical resort with all amenities available whether you go to the nude beach area or whether you stay on the clothing side! The nude area is actually just a small part of the property. Have no fear, you would still have a
great vacation!!!!
Question: Do a lot of people go to these places?
Answer: Not only do lots of people go, they return again and again. There are a number of resorts catering to nude beach enthusiast, many more nudist campgrounds, some nudist subdivisions, and at least one nudist city spread across our planet. In a recent poll, it was reported that over 40,000,000 (yes, 40 million) Americans admitted to, at least, skinny-dipping within a co-ed environment at least once in their life. More and more people are coming out every year.
Question: What are these nude beach resorts like?
Answer: Each resort has a lifestyle of it's own. Read the material presented elsewhere on this website to get the details of what is offered by the resort, as well as the comments about the activities and lifestyle of the people who visit the different resorts. Very simply: All of the resorts we offer would be classified as upscale to true 5-star resorts.
Men: Will you be "aroused" when at a nude beach?
Not likely. Do you get aroused walking around during the day at home, work, or at a clothing beach? If not, don't give it another thought. If you do, try counting backwards by 13's from 1000.
Women: What do I do if my "cycle" should happen while at the resort?
For women it is acceptable to wear a "bottom" on a nude beach during her cycle. The other option is to stay on the clothing beach.
Clothing is worn everywhere other than the beach and au natural pool and hot tub areas

This is a google search for keywords nudist beaches cozumel.
The threads appear on the public viewing area.
If information is not accurate, then eventually it will be learned when posting to a site such as this.
If this is not accurate information, then the public information is not accurate and certainly beyond my control to know until asked.
I wonder what "only natural" means at the resort. This is possibly how the "au natural" was linked as someone mentioned previously in this post.
I have nothing against nudist beaches anywhere in the world. However, if this is not a resort that offers the service then the thread above is inaccurate.
I make no claim to the validty of public domain information.
I would love to come here and see the resort while visiting Cozumel later this year and if any rooms are available to stay at the Sol Melia resort. They offer more selection from the links I provided than what the actual site of the resort is providing, so I'm expecting a phone call soon to make the reservation if available.
I appreciate the information. This is certainly an educational experience. Not a commercial experience.

One additional update about Google keyword searches.
Google does string searches, keyword searches, and meta tag searches, etc. to find information.
I'm just at the beginning of learning how Google engine technology works so some information is extremely helpful like "Google Earth" which is a tremendous technological program worldwide.
How "nudist beaches cozumel" works to locate information is something I'm trying to learn. This is purely educational. I didn't mention Google in the thread but this is to clarify that point.

| yes if you take the boat across to plya d carmen and get off the boat, the beach right there is a topless beach if you want to, some do and some dont.it take 20 min.to get to plya from cozumel

Hey! I just flew on a major nude beach binge from Cozumel to Palm Springs CA to a nude resort called SMI, try http://www.seamountaininn.com I highly highly recommend it, its all nude, a pretty young crowd, very very fun, couples mostly

Public nudity including on the beaches in general is against the law, however the Mexican governmenty tends to turn blind eye around the resorts where topless sunbathing is tolerated. The beaches along the Cancun hotel strip and in Cozumel are deemed public and nude sunbathing is prohibited. There is a beach in Cozumel on the east side of he island where you will find nudity, but if you're looking for a bevy a beautiful naked women, you will be disapointed. It's mostly filled with young men who are looking for exactly the same thing you are looking for therefore making it an uncomfortable place for most women. It's one thing to be able to relax and enjoy a day of nude sunbathing and quite something else to be oggled and harrased by a bunch of horny guys.

The natural beaches are on the non reef sides of the island.
If you want to just sit on a beach and drink or watch TV then go to Cancun.
Cozumel is just not your typical beach resort and lets hope it never is.
