This is an excerpt from a speach he gave recently..I heard it.
You forgot to mention that he got a resounding round of applause for this addmission. What kind of world is this maniac creating? Why would people clap wildly when told they are being lied to to thier faces?

Is propaganda the word that's triggering fibrillations?
Liberals use propaganda to spread deceit.
Conservatives use propaganda to spread ideas.

Besides, it is not the word "propaganda" that alerts me in that quote. It is the rest of it.
"See in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in..."

If you haven't noticed a trait of a good liar is the ability to lie and still have people believe you.

Goebbels' technique, also known as argumentum ad nauseam, is the name given to the policy of repeating a lie until it is taken to be the truth (see Big Lie). For example, when Goebbels took ownership of the "Der Angriff" newspaper, he attacked Berlin Police President Bernhard Weiss, calling him Isidor Weiss. Isidor is to German ears an insulting name with strong anti-Jewish connotation. This was done to such an extent that the public believed Isidor to be his real name, and he became a figure of fun and ridicule.
Has Bush been reading Mein Kampf or any other Nazi literature recently???
If Bush gave us a tour of the White HOuse on TV, and he accidentally walked into some room that he didn't intend on showing, opened the door, and it had all these pics of Hitler and other fascists in it, what do you think the NeoCons on this board would do??? I say all the ones on this board would still rabidly defend, maybe call it a liberal conspiracy or the like.

Privatizing SS and Spreading Freedom & Democracy... Duh.
I think the prez has talked about those things for awhile now.
Bush has to keep repeating himself because Libs and the Lib Media has big, smelly, gobs of crap in their ears. Bush has to keep correcting you.. pulling you out of fantasy/conspiracy land everytime he talks.
He wouldn't have to keep repeating himself if you guys would stop making crap up and trying to pass it off as truth.

Well, if you're satisfied with BAD ideas, I guess you're right. But his version of "liberty and freedom" comes right out of Orwell, and his attempts to smash SS are ignorant, at best.
And he's a liar, to boot. His whole administration is built on lies, his whole staff are liars, his campaign chief is a liar, his PACs are liars, his Pentagon is a five-sided lie, and his wife may be the only semi-honest person in his clique.
Then, he tells you outright (as if it hasn't been glaringly obvious for years) that he repeats the propaganda over and over until his sheep begin to believe it. This Nazi tactic has been the Bush gang's trademark since they got appointed to office.
I can't understand why ANY American -- much less any foreigner -- could take this mob seriously. I don't believe anything they tell me unless I can verify it somewhere else. That's how little respect I have for this administration and this Congress. If I could fly over DC without getting shot down, I'd piss on them.

So now we've got conspiracies forming because Bush's opponents don't understand English. Good job.
Let's take a look at the meaning of the word catapult:
A military machine for hurling missiles, such as large stones or spears, used in ancient and medieval times.
This was the first definition from dictionary.com. Going with this definition, it appears as though Bush's message was to keep repeating himself to attack the propaganda. In other words, the propaganda is being put out by the Democrats, and Bush keeps repeating himself over and over to combat the propaganda and the truth will sink in to people's heads.
Perhaps you should drop your anti-Bush bias and listen to the man for a little while, and maybe look up the words you don't understand in the dictionary. Propaganda is what the left in this country has been putting out for far too long, and those of you who refuse to see that are the ones who are blind.

Indy, you are really trying to stretch this, its clearly, at the very least, another newspeak/mispeak by Bush, at the worst, its quite the Freudian slip. Catapult, however, means that he is pushing the propaganda on us.

The word Catapult is not a verb. You can't change the word into "attack".
It is a device used to shoot forth or launch, or propel an object.
Used in this context its quite obvious what the meaning of the sentence is.
Try again Indy.
However knowing that bush isn't very smart, it is propably true that he had no idea what he was talking about and didn't say what he meant.
How many times have we heard him say some stupid shi* and just laughed?

2 : the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person
3 : ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause; also : a public action having such an effect
Propaganda is used most to describe acts of deception. But as defined above, it can go either way. Good or Bad.

Even if Bush were smart enough to formulate that kind of rationale, the propaganda is coming from his side of the wall.
If "truth" is what Bush thinks he's pounding us with, I don't want any more of it.
The information coming from the Bush regime has been lie, after lie, after lie, almost without exception. And when they aren't lying to us, they're hiding their corruption behind "national security", and any other bullsh!t smokescreen they can construct.
They have lied to us so often, and so blatantly, I'm ashamed that Americans haven't demanded resignations.

I'll admit that Bush is no literary genius and that it was a poor word to use to make his point, but even the Bush haters (except for KoF) know what his point was. Whether you choose to believe what he says or not is a personal decision of course, but obviously he was saying that he kept repeating himself to combat the propaganda, not to put it out there.

Honestly I am surprised the word "propaganda" made it into a speech at all. They had to know what kind of Lib reaction they would get. Maybe they just don't give a dung-heap what the libs say anymore.

That was part of you claim.
Sorry to dissect your witty remark. I should have just laughed and let it be. I stated it was a conservative because we liberals can get human p ussy anytime we like.

How many times have we heard him say some stupid s*** and just laughed?
see the little 'v' in the sentence below? it denotes usage as a verb:
v 1: shoot forth or launch, as if from a catapult; "the enemy catapulted rocks towards the fort" 2: hurl as if with a sling [syn: sling]

JESUS RON!
Nobody here KNOWS BUSH!
EVERYBODY here has heard his lies.
Did you hear the speach?
He was not making ANY reference to someone elses retoric.
Listen to the goddamnn speach! It is clear that Bush is refering to his own need to reapeat his own words which HE labels "propaganda". That is NOT conjecture from some liberal bias..those are his exact words in the exact context he used them. Stop being such an idiot. Save your mindless defense for your puppet master for when he needs or wants it.
Look..if Bush doesn't mind calling his shyte propaganda why should you?
Sean
I'm still waiting for you to prove me wrong about the FCC regulation you were running your mouth about. You know, the one that doesn't exist. Go fetch, then talk to me.
Ronnie quit with "the regulation".
We weren't even talking about a "regulation"..we were talking about what I brought up about when Intell went Pentium that I had seen some articles in the PC and Electronics magazines that refered to the proposed back door that was to be included in those processers. There was never any mention on my part about an FCC "regulation".
You can be your own fyuckin secretary and look up the articles in the magazines for yourself.
What I am finding though is quite disturbing. I have taken the time to seach subjects such as references to the "back door" and others that I have DEFINITELY seen BEFORE on the internet and am finding that there is a vast amount of information "missing" from view.
Even though I am fairly knowlegable in the arena of "internet" I am finding this a perplexing situation.
You are probably not the one to discuss this with because your memory only goes back to the last Bushlie..but nonetheless .....
It appears that certain information is being "gleaned" from the net in a fairly thorough manner.
I thought the only way to do this was by attaching a filter to a specific IP but there seems to be some technology being used I am not aware of.
Check this out for yourself. There is a "notsosecret" affiliation called the Fedralist Society which the top members of Bushes Crime Family and all of his Judge appointees belong to. That in itself doesn't give a rise in my Levis...I couldn't care less if those fyucks all belong to the Man/Woman/sheepscrewing Club. BUT!..this Federalist Society is for real. Go to any reliable search engine and type in "Federalist Society". NADA! NOTHING!
I would be willing to guess that that particular word group has been put into several THOUSAND items on the net over the last few years. There should be at least HUNDREDS of hits. NOTHING!
I do not even know who to ask about this but it is very creepy.

It was a hypothetical based on play-dough.
When people become rich, they can become anything they want to be. Whatever serves them best. When I get rich, I want to buy the English Channel and fish for mollusks. Doesn't matter yet. I'll keep you updated.

What luck for the rulers that men do not think."
--Adolf Hitler
In October of 1942, under the Trading With the Enemy Act, the U.S. government halted operations at New York's Union Banking Corporation. A bank official was charged with "Running Nazi front groups in the United States."
His name: Prescott Bush.
Prescott Bush, father of future U.S President George Herbert Walker Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush, had been hard at work on behalf of his Nazi partners. In flagrant violation of U.S. law, Prescott Bush had worked tirelessly to launder money, procure raw materials, arrange transportation and provide guidance for the Nazi war effort and the German army he had helped to build.
In April of 2002, George W. Bush -- standing literally on the bones of the men who fell at Normandy beachhead in mortal combat with that very same Nazi army -- delivered his Memorial Day address. He said, in part, "This is a day our country has set apart to remember what was gained in our wars, and all that was lost."
Let us remember.
As the German army came crashing into Poland, spreading death and destruction in its path, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As German tanks rolled through the Ardennes Forest and into Paris, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As Allied forces fighting to defend France were forced literally into the sea at Dunkirk by the German Army, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As German war planes rained bombs down on London, killing 50 thousand English men, women and children, Prescott Bush continued aiding the Nazis.
As millions died at the hands of the most ruthless and violent organization the world has ever known, Prescott Bush continued aiding them.
And of course, as Hitler and the Nazis planned and carried out the extermination of Europe's Jews, Prescott Bush was an eager and active partner.
When did Bush stop? When we made him stop.
In this case, George W. Bush won't have to worry about the US Government shutting him down. That's been taken care of -- he is the US Government.
As debate rages back and forth across the Atlantic over the morality and acceptability of this assault against Iraq, it is interesting to note the German position.
It was Germany who bought most completely into the war lie during the past century. It was the German people who, with their faith in country and leadership, and even their loyalty to the Fatherland, made possible the greatest nightmare the world has ever known. It is those same German people who stand today before Europe and the world in unflinching opposition to this latest world conquering force.
How well do the German people know George W. Bush? Better than they want to. ......

As a matter of fact, approximately when Bush was in diapers, his grandaddy, Prescott, actually WAS consorting with the Nazis. His banking connections helped finance and enable the Hitler regime.
I guess that old cliche is true sometimes -- the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
see, i knew it...[and it wasn't a challenge, more of a prediction, a correct one it seems]
but of course you're wrong- gwb was born in july of '46, there were no nazis left for his gramps, or anyone else, to consort with, short of going to south america.
No, I'm not wrong.
See, I predicted you'd be a nit-picker, and try to slither away from the facts by citing irrelevant dates, so I said "approximately when Bush was in diapers". I know how you guys think better than you do.
For more details about Bush's nefarious Nazi connections, see KOF's post above.

irrelevant dates! ![[grin]](/forums/themes/default/grinning-smiley-007.gif)
bush is not yet born, and therefore cannot possibly be tied to anything his granddad did or did not do, but that's all irrelevant because you used the term 'approximately' to give yourself plenty of wiggle room!
talk about slithering away from the facts, o scaly one...
