| I am christian and my fiance is Muslim I am moving to Ciaro in a year and we are to be maried though he says we will not have a resticted relationship i do not want him to falter from his religion i am willing to convert and want to know what is expected of a muslim wife.

Muslim women have many rights, we are not oppressed. Although him not wanting a restricted marriage definitely puts up a few red flags. Under Islamic law a Muslim man can have up to four wives. But he has to provide seperate households for each one.
My husband is Muslim, was raised Muslim. I reverted to Islam shortly before I met him. He has never disrespected me in any way. Hijab (covering) is worn because Allah commanded it not a man. I am very proud to be a Muslim, I found my independence and peace of mind, when I accepted Islam.
But America more often than not misrepresents Islam. It is a loving, compassionate, peaceful religion. Please study more about Islam and the expectations of a woman in Islam. But remember Allah loves you, and your husband, as he loves all of his children. When you find true Islam you will also find peace of mind.
I wish you the best in your marriages, and in your lives.

sorry about that, my bad
many women are mistreated, but you cannot just classify it as only "muslim women". millions of women all over the globe are being treated unfairly by their husbands, brothers, fathers, families etc. even governments. it isn't all muslim. There are many things that you may not understand about Islam, but it ISN'T THE RELIGION.
I don't know how many times I have stressed this since I joined up here, but people can't seem to get it into their thick skulls enough. they insist on being ignorant and lovin it.
It isn't Islam! never has been never will be. God is the most fair and the ones that do not understand God, usually do not understand muslims.

I also noticed that in my attempt to find links to support the position that Muslim women are oppressed, all I could find was Islamic propaganda at every turn. The sensitive topics have been spamming the internet forcing one to dig for the truth through all of the propaganda. Muslims can spin in circles all they want, but the koran speaks for itself.

are you talkin for muslim women for havin a key figure? or for world women? I mean be fair right?...Muslim women have their most favorite judge, Allah swt.
the muslim women have every right to seek council, divorce, and to remarry~they have every right given to them by their Creator. No one forces women to stay with a heathen monster. It isn't fair and Allah swt is the Most Fair.
No matter how hard people hear about the rights of Muslim women, they will never agree to what is or will be said on their behalf. Why? Because of such biasness, such hatred for Islam for it being so well proven, hatred for it wanting it to succeed and just pure hatred~from the media, zionists, governmentals, etc. No matter what would be said, people would not agree....look at in here! How many times do we Muslims repeat ourselves to the ignorant?????????????????????????????? You really think it would make a difference if people spoke up on Islam{which by the way, people have been and have been made fun of, ridiculed and humiliated by ignorant and arrogant people}.
Allah swt says in the Quran that when they (the fools) start to use and show their ignorance by words and actions, that we are to leave in and say "salaam" in kindness and justice.
