Read my original reply, and respond to it. I know you can't but I'm at least going to give you a shot.

"Think for yourself KOF, instead of responding by posting articles written by somebody you've never met respond with a thought of your own for once. Sure, the government probably wants to "rewild" the more eastern parts of the country but why would they do it in private? Why? There's absolutely no reason to. Reintroducing a species of animals isn't exactly the easiest thing to do. It takes enormous amounts of time, effort, money, and resources. Not only that but it's so cumbersome that private organizations sometimes need to play a role. There's no possible way the government could get involved in such a huge undertaking without the public finding out. Even if they wanted to keep it a secret there would be so many possible levels where the secret would come out."

It wasn't wrriten by Tom Flocco (or whatever that loons name is) but it will suffice. It's plain English. Take a look and debate on the substance of it.

Guess what EC, I don't jump because you crack you tiny little whip.

If you really want to know the answer to your questions you would be doing your on research on the subject.  As it stands........you're still just blowing smoke.

This is a debate board. That means you, personally, debate the issues.

There you go trying to crack your tiny little whip again.    Now write this down so you won't forget it.  I post what I want, when I want.  You may be use to bossing your little friends around or your partner, but don't bother trying that with me.

As to the debate you mentioned, I don't see that listed anywhere on the board....but that is no biggie.

As to the discussion part of these boards....Who are YOU to try and tell anyone how they should discuss anything?

EC: It's going to be a losing battle with KoF to request her to rub her brain cells together. She prefers to redirect our attention to things/sites she has seen and read. She is right in saying that it isn't precisely against the rules. On the other hand, you don't have to respond to her ponderous posts of cut/pastes either.

KoF: It is patently against the rules to begin a thread then insult your readers. I know you disagree with EC in regards to the request to discuss item via your own words. You don' t have to call him ignorant. That is unacceptable. Thank you.

KOF, I'm just trying to get you to get personally involved in something that you propose. Posting articles written by somebody else gets you nowhere. Come up with some ideas of your own and be original.

OH I see. You think you are GOD again.  You do realize this is NOT the religion board?

In your eyes it is perfectly okay for EC to make tacky comments to me, but YOU don't want me to defend myself.  And HEAVEN forbid that I say he/she is ignorant.  What a horrible thing to call someone!!!! But not nearly as horrible as some of the vile things I've seen people say to others on these boards.  Do I see you trot into those postings and say that it is unacceptable?  NO WAY!! You seem to save that JUNK for me.  You can keep your hoity-toity ways to yourself.

You have made tacky comments to me from the beginning, most of which I have ignored.  I usually stay away from the religion board because of you.   But now I might just have to venture back.

Step away from the religion board because of MB? Ha! MB has got to be one of the most educated posters on that board.

Did you ever get a picture of the m.lion killed in Ky.? We have talked about moving there and have looked at property. I just don't want to have to worry about that kind of thing.

No.. sorry... no picture was taken as my friend kept on driving and it was later at night in an mountainous area.  Plus the mother cat was somewhere near by.  However if you do a search you can find a picture of a cub that was killed by a semi truck a few years back in eastern Kentucky.  If i were you I would go ahead and purchase your property as the cats are still very rare here and are very reclusive/nocturnal and avoid humans.  We have so many deer, elk etc here that they would have no need to attack humans.  We have more black bears than the cats.  ;)

KoF, I did tell EC that it was not against the rules or anything to use cut and paste. I also told him/her that they don't like it, just not to respond to it. If I had told YOU that, you would have seen it as some sort of attack. I suggest you re-read what I wrote and try to see that I was fairly balanced in my statement. And no, I don't see myself as God in any way. I try to be fair. Sometimes I screw up, but in general, I am on an even keel.

YOU do attack. You may think you are on an even keel, but your keel must be off kilter.

Sorry, EC. I try to be fair in my labeling - and did not know much about you other than your name. I stand corrected! :P

There has been a Mt. Lion spotted S.E. Lincoln, Nebraska by a couple different people in the same area.  My horses freaked out today in the back pasture like never before.  Do mountain lions attack horses very often?

well sometimes...  mountain lions prefer deer..elk... and wildlife... however they have been known to attack horses..... esp. young/old ones... so attacks do occurr... though it is hard for a mountain lion to kill healthy adult/large horses.....  It usually ends up in the mountain lion giving up or getting bucked off ...and the horse is left pretty scarred up....

Mountain lions are becoming more common in Eastern ontario, specifically the Sudbruy Region.....they are also common in New Brunswick......there is no forseeable reason why they should not exist in the eastern united states if food is available.  However, for roughly one hundred years they were thought to be extinct in eastern canada even though people claimed to see them.  Mostly, conservationists attributed the sightings to people drinking in the Bush.  Recently though, a scientist at Laurentian University started collecting scat samples and proved that they certainly do exist in eastern Canada, but their numbers are likely low.  Find a scat sample and get a university or college to do a DNA test and you will have your proof.  Scat is much easier to find then the actual cats.

The pic seems to be of a large cat, but it is definitely not a cougar.  The tale is far too small to be a cougar tail.  Cougars have very thick and long tails that reach the beyond the ground and are actually curled at the bottom so they do not drag.

To be honest I don't know what it is. I had people who have seen them say at first glance they think it might be a dog but then say the build looks like a cat and they just don't know.
