In 2003, the people of Liechtenstein voted in favor of making their government an absolute monarchy. Since the mid-1600s, European peoples have struggled against absolutists of all stripes - Liechtenstein has in effect, by their own choosing, regressed a few hundred years by handing over to their royal family their very own liberty.
This is a disgrace to all of Europe and to Western civilization in general.
What are the opinions of the subjects of His Serene Highness Prince Hans-Adam II? Even writing that title - though proper protocol - makes my skin crawl.
All thoughts are welcome, of course.

I dont have a problem with it, seems like an excellent idea to me, its only a very small nation anyhow so this type of rule sounds appropriate. I think you need to be a bit more tolerant of other countries political systems, especially as in this case the citizens have democratically chosen this through the voting process, therefore I think any harsh cristicisms dispayed by yourself are both unfair and uncalled for.

I'm just goading. 
it was the only thing negative I could come up with on Leichtenstine.
The other one was spelling the frickin' name. I always screw up.

Yup. This looks like a job for Bush Co. Saddle up, cowboys! There's a new dictator in town - an evildoer threatening democracy! I say you bomb Liechtenstein out of the map! - although that's pretty much their state as it is right now, being such a small country and all.

Yup pales into significance really especially when you consider the dictator currently squatting in the white house.

USA currently has a dictator and that is causing major problems both at home and abroad. It goes by the nickname "human garbage".

| When the United Sluts of America gets rid of its fascist dictator which has utter contempt for its citizens by treating them all like a big bunch of terrorists by illegally spying on them then they will have a right to piss and moan about some small central European kingdom which is harming no one unlike Americas bush regime which acts like Hitler reincarnated by invading innocent countries and taking them over based on a pack of blatant viscious evil lies. Time for bush to get comfy on that electric chair he was so fond of sending so many of his fellow countrymen while he was governor of Texas. Human Garbage seems like too good a term for that filth.

I think most nations ought to become republics. It's the only form of government that can truly dignify the population. Monarchies are based on inequality and considering some, from birth, better.
An aboslute form is worse!
May a Republic of Liechenstein be the form by which Liechenstein makes it into the 21st century and beyond!
